Scenarios are annoying, boring, and useless of course.
I vote for Future tech, because there is not enough techs.
Flying panzers ^^
I didn't vote for leaders and civilisations, because there is enough of them, BUT
if thre will be more nations I hope that there will be some modern/"young" nations like Finland ^^

Edit: Some scenarios from future might be GOOD.

Umm thanks.

You know, I like the GA bomb, and it's crucial for edge cities' defense, cultural victories, and/or competing on the points/domination vic. In fact, I think they're usually the most useful GP to pop if you can squeeze one out as soon as you get CoL (caste), since chances are, drama and music haven't been discovered yet.

It's just that... I think there should be an alternate way of countering culture bombs, than just another bomb.

Oh, and since you mentioned zulu and the accuracy of UUs, I should point out that impis weren't around until the industrial age, IRL.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impi

Just b/c the British were in the industrial age in the 1800s doesn't means the Zulus were.

On a side note... has anyone from Firaxis actually said there WILL be another expansion?

I voted for better diplomacy, trade and UN
(I want trade contracts without my neighbours military running around my land, I want bribe civs to vote in the UN etc..), more civics and more civs/leaders.

Spies should be able to steal technology and incite riots in enemy cities. For an extremely high cost in gold of course. Imagine how useful it would be in a tight space race to knock out an enemy city for four turns. Like I said, the cost would have to be extortionately high and the chances of success based on factors like number of religions in a city (inciting inter-faith violence), percentage of city's population that is foreign (race riots) etc.

This would mean that poorer civs would be more susceptible to foreign influence. Which would be realistic. :king:

It would be nice if the conquered cities of one capital you 'set free' would form their own state-system, at random or something.

States should be able to outbid others for resources.

Humans who are true warmongers should get more global (diplomatic) pressure.

And Holland must be in it.

I would actually like them not to add too much in the way of *new* content, but bring back (in an updated form) some of the features in previous civ games that wouldn't affect civ4 gameplay too radically:

Bring back Hammurabi! It can't be Civilization without the Babylonians, and I was absolutely astonished when they didn't make it into Warlords.

Throne room/palace: There's a thread out there about bringing back some "flavor" to the game. While the UUs, UBs, etc. are great to distinguish one civ from another, the game itself is monotonous. Remembering these "mini-goals" from previous versions, I think that these were a great way to measure your own popularity within your civ. In Civ4, I no longer get the sense that the decisions I make will affect my people's happiness greatly-- revolts don't hurt as bad, and "I love the King" days mean little when little happens when they occur. The Palace screen at least reminded you to consider your lowly plebs' esteem for you a bit more, and I wish something was included to customize and glorify that success.

Bribery: Remember in Civ2 when you could bribe enemy units to join your side? The spy could easy adapt this option, and for a high price, even Brennus could own his own Praetorian mercenaries.

Civil War/random events: Again, breaks up game monotony. Plus, civil war was pretty cool when two nations popped up after destroying an enemy capital. It would be even cooler if Firaxis allowed your own civ to split if you don't control civ happiness effectively. Another way to keep players on their toes.

Fortresses: Make them relevant again. Bring back zone-of-control for at least the fortresses, otherwise I will continue to move my troops around your puny castle while your spearmen sit on their hands, watching as I ride past to your towns.

Obviously Firaxis will add more new content not seen to make the expansion worth it to both them and us, but as a fan of the series since CIV1, I feel like Civ4 wasn't the same game for me, and could have done better for its longtime players.

I'd like some enviromental wonder type of things on the map that give bonuses to the civ who has it in their territory - much like SMAC/X. Maybe the Roswell crash site, thermals/vulcano, monsoon jungle, haunted village, the natives (affects diplomatics modifiers based on how you treat them), strange rock formations, Ayres rock, Niargra falls, Grand Canyon, Amazon river, meteor crash site, etc.

What I would like above all is for religions to be specialized.

Then I would like some kind of upkeep for improvements you make, since the all railroad map is a constant anoyance for me. Does not look like anything the world would ever be able to produce.

Last but not least a return to civil wars, which was such a fun in civ1.

for me everything they can add will be welcome.
I voted for more resources of any kind, more leader traits because adding new civs, combinations become repetitive and better diplomacy because personally sometimes i find annoying and monotonous that every 3 turns this or that civ ask me to stop trading with this or that civ at least never seen this in real life so often

Recipe for Expansion #3:

Air / sea / space promotions as a valid expansion.
Slightly improved land system.
Same for a much more detailed Economics and Civics model.
More scenarios if they're not rehashes, nor half-baked.
Improved diplomacy as well
more music and SFX
more units

stuff I'd expect as a patch, and would be offended to pay for:
technical clean-up (improved speed with less slow-downs)
improved multiplayer

stuff that'd be nice, but only as free patch, otherwise don't care:
improved graphical flavor per civ.
more leader traits and combos

Just brought this one back up for laughs.
