[POLL] Favourite victory type

I would say Domination / science, domination is my main goal, but as I'm playing on Huge Earth map with TSL, I always endup win scientifically first, then finish conquer the world.
On vanilla game I play Immortal/Deity, in CBP I play level 6 for now, going to 7 next game.

In my current game with Japan, I won scientifically and I'm at Europe doors, actually I encounter much more "wall" civ than in vanilla game in same map, it's harder to conquer quickly vast territory, and happiness system is not so "huge empire friendly" as I read on changelog :mischief:

I like Cultural victory, mostly because the ending quote is awesome, other than that I sometimes go for diplo or domination. Science feels like how you end a game if an enemy just refuses to go down culturally, otherwise it is just a bit slow for me.
That being said my most common victory-type is "I've already won this so I'm quitting" :D

EDIT: Also am I blind or did you fail to actually Poll? :D

I go cultural mostly, followed by science (if it ever goes that far, and it usually doesn't now). And then domination because over half the time I can't be bothered to marching my army over to their door cities because of how far it generally is. If I win diplo, it usually isn't intended.

And yea...I think I'm blind too.

I like Domination victory the most, there is a lot of fun making big army and crushing enemies then burning their cities. Nuke bombardment is also fun. Then science victory, because it's usually the hardest for me to get and I have it not so many times.

Most often? Cultural, mostly because it's too easy to get. Maybe new update helped it a bit, must check game a bit better than just Aztec domination ;)

What? Is there a way to 'actually' poll?

Wow, yet another area that I find myself in total agreement with @funak.

Each.
I decide on how I want to win quite early, and most of the time stick with it. And I try to rotate my victory conditions.
So last game, I quickly conquered my continent and went to culture victory from there.
This time I am in pretty much the same situation, culture victory is pretty much locked by now.
Still I will embark to attack the strongest civ with a dozen CS allies, to not repeat the same victory.

Are you sure? We all love to change, but sure there is one of them that is more interesting to you.

Nothing was as enlightening in CIV V BNW for me as
  • Discovering the Fountain of Youth for the first time.
  • Pushing so much :tourism: on an unhappy top military power that their citizen/city turned to me.
Tears to my eyes in both cases.

Anyways, I do whats best for my people of course, I let that dictate what I am aiming for, but in general I enjoy burying other civs in blue jeans yes. :tourism:, then Science, Diplomacy and finally Domination. Fingers crossed for Religion :c5faith: victory in CiVIlization? Would an Atheist faction entail a Science victory?... Humm interesting...
It would be up there along with Cultural as favorite of mine.

So yea, I go Freedom Ideology often.

I play on Marathon all the time, and the "Time" victory type is never checked btw.

Domination is the most fun for me. Always try to play whichever civ I have in the most immersive way possible tho. World Peace as Ghandi, conquer/raze as Assyria, etc.

Time, I don't like victory types, seems too unrealistic to me. So I always go with time :P

So far, nobody diplo wins by 'accident'. Culture is the most beloved and achieved. Science is the least beloved.

I'm 16 turns away from winning diplo by accident lol. Well, in the sense that I didn't really focus on completing CS quests, nor did I actively try to generate great diplomats. Whenever I got a GD though, I used them to construct an embassy. The goal was just to be able to pass some favorable enactments while focusing on domination, but 3 vassals, my embassies and autocracy as the world ideology has me sitting at 58 delegates, with me only needing 40-something total.

One of the last games I played as Germany I was in a runaway state towards complete dominance but could have quite easily pulled back and gone for a diplo victory. I had about 40 votes to the combined vote total of the remaining AI of about 20 so a UN vote would be easy. However that would mean dragging the game out too long and then it becomes boring, so crush them instead!

Most of the time I quit games when I seem to be running off with them. Probably because I've only played 3 or so with CBP as a whole and it keeps changing, but I'm trying to level out to a difficulty that I feel comfortable playing on.
