Well as some of you may know, the reason for the settler/worker division from civ2 is cause in civ2 massing cities were soooo good so they tried to make it harder for you to make new cities by dividing them. However, I think that was pretty dumb. Even if mining was an option for grassland and plains for civ2, i would've always irrigated because back then the scientists were crucial. SSC (Super Science City) with huge pop and many scientists was almost an exploit. Even besides my SSC the other cities' scis made a huge dif. Keeping this feature (well maybe dumb it down just a little but NOT to the point of 1 gold per taxmen ) would encourage bigger cities and not many small instead of making it a big harder to make settlers. The only reason i still space them out so nothing overlaps is cause i just have to be a perfectionist, tho i know its better with small cities...
