I'd have to say that if they weren't before the game came out then they should be now! Unless they were in the boat of where the suits said "Too bad the game isn't ready. It needs to ship now because this is the optimal time to make money off of it!!"

Excuse me for my ignorance, but why would they be fired, I really don't know why

Basically for all the unfinished/broken parts of the game. and when I talk about broken parts I am not compalinign about MP or scenarios. I am talkign about air superiority, rampant corruption, and the other problems I can't remember right now.

Jeez, Spok. With all these posts you've been doing its like you caught this computer cheating on you or something. Just look in the mirror and repeat. It's just a computer game. It's just a computer game.

At your 87 posts and counting.......take your own advice

If somethings like culture were explained a little better in the book, many problems could probably be solved. But any explanation in the book is pretty dull and uninformative. Culture is not explained well at all. Neither are a lot of other things like corruption and waste. I don't mind trying to find out how it works, but I don't think it does work or at least right. If culture is that important than attacking cities and expanding your empire is completely out of the question. Even if you destroy a civ, they are completely worthless/unproductive.

I bet the Firaxis Q&A team was fired

You know, I was ready to cut you some slack, but now you've proven to me what a complete idiot your are.

Anyone who purchased WWII Online knows a thing or two about Q/A! So after that fiasco, this is nothing!

Was I was?

Wouldn't someone with even a basic grasp on the language have phrased the question "Should the Q&A (sic) team be fired?" Asking "Were they fired" is a question of fact, and as such, not a matter for an opinion poll to begin with.

If you're looking to criticize, you'd have a lot more luck (and draw a lot less criticism) if you attempted to do it in a coherent manner, rather than acting as though you were in a IM chat or something. On a forum, you have time to edit and check your posts for things that make you look illiterate. Take the time. Make a difference.

(See? I edited out a malformed sentence!)

Thanks for the grammer, sentence formation and question forming lecture. I only hope all of who read and post on these boards will be inspired to produce fully developed and thoughful posts to better this community.

Poor QA?

1. Zero crashes after a week of solid playing, including a lot of ALT tabing. A first for me.

2. Only a couple bugs (none of which I encountered) like fighters not intercepting.

If this is poor QA and the team got fired, I sure hope they get hired by almost any other game developer exceplt Blizzard who does a pretty good job of QA also.

Firaxis feels bad about having to release Civ3 in its current state. But Infogrames holds the keys on this one.

Thanks for the grammer (sic)...

Grammar.

Rampant corruption is not a bug. It's something that we older people recognize from real life: we don't call it a bug, we call it a CHALLENGE.

I played about 15 hours and noticed my first crash. I hit F3 for the military advisor but got the wrong one and hit F2 and wrong again and hit a third F key and it crashed

I think the QA knows of all the problems but:
1 - they dont have ANY power if the company
2 - launching the game first then patch is the mentality of the marketing
3 - the big majority of marketing dont care about customers satisfactions, they want $, and with $ comes bigger bonuses for them

PS: I know because I'm a marketing (although I DO care about my customers, maybe that's why my $ bonus is 0
