I'm most certainly going Rome. Like many here, they were my first civ, and I can't break the tradition!

One of the ancient/classical civs. Most likely the Romans, Greeks or Egyptians.

The inca's, and I am going to use a systeem thats so not nice to people you would WISH stalin was in charge of the civ, i am curious what while happen:mad:         :confused

I think the Egyptians did it right for the first 3000 years or so. The rest are all newbies.

The Germans under Bismark. Or maybe America because of the Navy Seal!:goodjob:

Aw, still no Canada? :( THough I knew we wouldn't be represented, then I will go with the english, If I ever do buy it.
sorry but i don't think canada will ever be reprsented in these games it is not considered a great civ.

For the longest time in CivIII, I played with Rome because I thought they were just cool, I love the Romans. After coming here and reading tips and Ision's reviews, I sadly stopped using them in favor of other civs. But now, while I was looking over the traits, I singled out creative and expansive as being an amazing combo and starting scanning down the list looking for who I'd play as my first game. And lo! I had not certainly not expected Ceasar in that spot (I still say Rome is legendary as an industrious civ, followed by organized) but I am definitely very excited. Rome will once again rule the world!

A classic, the Egyptians. The second one, probably the Mali to see this new civilization.

Anyway, I will try all civilizations!!!

Well, without a Mauch Chunk, I simply don't know what I'll do. I'll have to try the Spanish; hopefully they got the color purple. What gives?

America IS THE BEST IT HAS THE BEST UU IN CIV3 AND THE SEALS!!! WAT ELSE COULD YOU WANT???

China, my favorite country in Civ3
伟大的中国铁骑

They had those 3-move horsemen, right?

I think I'm going to play Egypt, now that I'm looking around...Role-playing reasons ;)

Can't wait to play the Malian Empire. As an anthropologist doing research on contemporary West Africa was waiting for Mali to be represented in the game. Let's hope it's not called "Malinese" in the game.
Anyone knows which characteristics they give to the Malian Civ in the game? Is Sumanguru Kante represented as a leader? Is there a specific Malian unit?
The next step would be to have the Bamanan (Bambara) Kingdom from Segu. And, of course, the Ghana Empire, the Songhay Empire, etc. Maybe El Haj Oumar Tall's religious domination would have a role too. That region has been very active in terms of cultural expansion.

Afaik, Mansa Musa is the leader of the Malinese (sorry... ;)), and he is spiritual and financial, so a builder/trader type. The UU of Mali is the Skirmisher which replaces the longbowman (not sure on that).
Malinese cities are Timbuktu, Gao, Djenne, etc.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing will beat Napoleon Bonaparte at the helm of the French Empire.. ;)

Not to go completely off-topic, but has anyone seen the Napoleon leaderhead on the official Civ website? I think it looks.. ehmm.. very unlike him.. (To put it mildly..) Especially when comparing it to Washington, Frederick the Great, Bismarck and Peter the Great, I think Napoleon doesn't look anything like the real guy.. (I'll still buy the game though.. :D )
