Modding is the feature for me.. I want to sink my teeth into the editor!

I have never really modded before besides maps I mean, But I think I'm going to learn how to for Civ.4, that should help spread out the game alittle longer for me that and the Expansion packs of course and after about 4 years I'll be all geared up for Civ.5 :D

I'm so glad to see that there is a thread that is positive about the upcoming CivIV!! About time it was around. YAY!

On a more somber note I'm gonna have to wait and see how all the features work as to whether or not it's completely fantastic or just a 3D improvement on CivIII.
Overall tho it looks VERY promising. :)

I like most, if not, all of the new features, with the religion and civic options the most. I really hope that the religion/culture stuff is as good as it sounds - hopefully, its not going to be another big micromanagement issue/bad game aspect.

AHhhhh... Positive comments, positive, positive: I'm looking forward to Civ 4 =D

I really think they are getting rid of some of the micromanagement, they eliminated corruption that’s a good sign. I really like to focus on the game as a ruler of a nation, and rulers don’t have time to worry about such menial things. I need to focus my attention on civic options and spreading my ideology to other nations, trading and of coarse warring when all diplomacy has failed. With all this going on, how can I worry about things like corruption (really). :crazyeye:

EDIT: I believe they have eliminated Pollution also.

I like the ability of smaller nations being able to maintain some kind of parity with larger ones, though im not sure how they are going to do it, diffusion of technology from a superior neighbour?

There was nothing more annoying than having one nation with tanks and its next door neighbour trying to hold out with chariots.

Actually Sweeny, Soren has confirmed that-aside from the costs of maintaining cities directly, another major way in which Civ4 will achieve parity between small and large nations is that nations with more cities require more funds in order to retain existing tech and culture rates. So, as an example, I think it would be fair to say that a civ with 20 cities will require twice as more money as a 10 city civ in order to maintain a tech rate-say-of 1 tech every 10 turns.
Additionally, as the populations of individual cities goes up, they require ever more infrastructure (aqueducts, hospitals etc) in order to maintain existing levels of city health. Money and resources invested in said infrastructure are resources not invested in building more settlers.
There were other factors, but those were the keys-be interesting to see how it all pans out in the game though ;)!

Aussie_Lurker.

I like most of the new features but don’t forget 28 new wonder movies or around 45 movies in all and tons of new music..... :band: I believe this will also add to a good game.
