Post a picture of your empire

This is from my own scenario, I'm Peru. Early in the game, like really, really early, the Brazilians declared war on me. But we made peace soon. No one gained anything from that war, except that I captured two of their workers.

Anyway, now I've just left the middle ages some while ago. As usual, India is the aggressor and they declared war on me when I wouldn't let them blackmail me. They have then joined military alliances with different civs against me, but most them haven't even discovered astronomy yet so they can't reach me. Loosers! But India is annoying, they just tried to invade Lima but I fought them off with heavy losses. Then their frigates keep bombing a city I have in the Pacific Ocean.

Then there's a huge war against Canada. I got USA and Mexico to join me, but recently the Americans made peace with the Canucks. Now I have destroyed two Canadian towns in Greenland, and have conquered Halifax and Montreal.

Thanks for clarifying, MAS.

Settings: Standard, Pangea, 70% water, Normal, Temperate, 4 Billion years. I also played with sedentary barbs and normal aggression if that is of interest.

Players: Scandinavia, Korea, Egypt, Inca, Sumeria, Hittites, Greeks and Babylon.

Hopefully everything will be in order now! :hammer:

Yay! Thanks!

Update:

I captured Quebec, and then I made peace with Canada, in exchange of getting Yellowknife, which has furs. When you get a city in a trade like this, isn't there supposed to be one defensive unit in the city? Anyway, now a lot of other nations have suddenly declared war on Canada.

The places I own besides parts of Canada and South America are now three cities in Greenland, three islands in the Pacific, one city in New Zealand, and soon to be three cities in Australia.

Then I changed government to communism (previously I had feudalism) because I wanted to try and build the Secret Police HQ. I thought I was gonna get a big loss in shields, and that my economy would turn catastrophic, but it turned out to be really good. It seems like I've happened to adjust the corruption levels in the editor just perfect.

No, you don't get a free unit when you get a city with a peace treaty (or if someone gifts it to you.) Only when a city culture flips does it get a free unit.

So rush a unit on turn one, if possible. Then at least you have a chance of keeping the city.

If you get it in a peace deal then the AI shouldn't attack you just signed a treaty. If another AI is threatening you can gift it to a third after you sell all the improvements. :p

OK. Luckily no one captured it even though it took me forever to get my galleon with cavalries there.

Here's Australia. I plan on destroying some of those other cities once I get into war. They're just not optimally placed.

All of a sudden, the entire world map was revealed to me, even though I haven't discovered satellites yet. WTH is going on?

Babylon in a recent game. (I am playing Heretic Cata's Mod. It's excellent!) I've just conquered Japan, as shown by the northern names.

England, who I'm going to invade.

An island start? Ouch.

Yeah. There's a hidden red nation which is on an island, too. (See the coasts southeast of my island? I scouted them using Oracles, and they have to be the Sumerians, as they were on the book thing but but not on the main continent, and I know everyone except for one person. Technically, I don't know the Aztecs, but I can see one of their cities on the northwest part of the main continent.) But still, somehow I am the largest nation according to the domination thing, but according to the Largest Nations book thing, I'm like 4th place.

but according to the Largest Nations book thing, I'm like 4th place.

Don't you know the people who write these books do it while they're drunk? ;)

Oracles???

Like I said, it's a mod. Oracles come from the Oracle wonder, and they can basically recon for ten tiles. Oh, and yeah, who can forget the SOTD where the Japanese get every prize except for the top one?

And the one where the barbs are included...

I'm playing (another) game as Germany on Marla's map, although I want a peaceful victory this time. That will not be easy. The Czechs invaded for some reason, and after destroying their forces I fought my way to their cities and began to raze them. After I reached Prague in far-east "Russia" (I accidentally placed a starting location there when the Czechs were the active player), I figured they had learned their lesson...but those stubborn bastards invaded AGAIN, and so I went in with cavalry and with allies. I gave all of the cities I captured to the Ukrainians this time, seeing as they were my stalwart allies who had their capital razed when the Czechs made their counterattack. Now the Romans have their entire army in "Russia"...which made Italy an attractive target for France to invade.

Since the Romans are my allies, and since I don't want France controlling both France and Italy, I've taken the liberty of invading France and am doing quite well. This was my last shot in that theatre last night, but since then I've taken Orleans and Tour. I plan to hit Rheims and Avignon next.

Also, the Carthaginians and Portuguese (controlling Ireland) both declared war on me and landed troops on the little island near Britain, so I invaded Sicily. Interestingly, Carthage had no troops in one city. Despite knowing that I was there, and despite the fact that there were four mercs in Leptis Minor, they didn't send any troops over there. Now I've taken the island and most of my troops are headed north to assist the allied armies (Celts, Romans, Hungarians, and Germans) in attacking the massive French army in north Italy.

My favorite part about this game is that the Austrians and Hungarians keep allying with one another.

Here's an update from the game I posted about on Page 9. It's now 1850 AD, and pretty much to the point where I'm assured victory, although some of the AI's- Iroquois, Egypt, India, Russia- are pretty strong. Some stuff has changed a lot (The Americans have been totally destroyed, and the Dutch, Persians, Japanese, Mongols, and Celts are coming pretty damn close), and some hasn't changed much at all. For example, the Koreans have managed to evade destruction despite being very, very weak. Here's the minimap:

And, this time, maps of my territory:

North America (Spoilered due to size):

And, why not, my two cities in Asia:

This is my largest empire to date, as Babylon.
Just ignore the lines, they're part of an annoying glitch.
