Post Patch changes XML settings unresponsive in game:
My investigation is by no means complete, but some XML settings that previously and dynamically worked are no longer doing so:

civilizations .xml
--Cannot edit other than the default civilizations to start in water?

GlobalDefines.xml
--Cannot edit cities to require more than 2 pop to start a settler / colonist?
--Colossus (siege worm and maybe a few others) seems to disappear after awhile (set for 999 turns from 125 turns)
(not sure what exactly is working in the global defines at this time)

--Cannot edit to have more than the desired starting players? Ie small world set for 9 players, generated world gives the default 6 (not extensively tested)
CivBEWorlds.xml (EDIT there are 9 players in the advanced options, have not seen more than 6 in the game though --are they landing?).

Unit.xml and policy.xml changes still seem to work fine though
 
If you have RT, those XML files are replaced by the ones in \Assets\Expansion1.

Yes, thanks, that is where I have been doing most of the edits, (policies and the world file are in the original section) which pre-Oct 29 patch seem to take effect right away (some required a new game).
