Pounder's Resource File

like being cheap myself , is there a .biq file that has all the resources written in ?

I can't find a coffee resource but you can do a campsite
How's this for a campsite.

I'm pretty sure there is coffee in this compilation: Casus Belli's Edited Resource Compilation

That would be mine.

I could give it to you but then you would have to add the hundreds of units I've added, you would have to use the Civs I use........ basically all the changes I have made to the game are in the biq.

Biq's are different for every modified game.

no problem . Am supposed to be doing a basic scenario with as many units as possible already written in . So when a scenario maker comes , all he will have to do is change the names and stats and the whole lot but he will have , say , 4000 units , already in . Unit adding being such a stumbling block that has stopped me so many times . Am planning to steal the LotM biq to import , but it has so many phantom resources . Not a problem in itself , ı can always place a cow on a phantom resource to mark there issomething there , but ı guess people might prefer to see the resources in the game ...

TAM used Resources (names in white) as geographical markers. A big fat ? might make a good placeholder.

the issue is having that ? appear in the game . ı have read all those threads about phantom resources and practically have no clue what they are talking about .

@r16: Here's how I understand and have experienced it: The phantom/ghost resources doesn't appear anywhere else than in the trade advisor screen. It's in particular cities not connected to the trade network, but which have local luxury or strategic resources connected that can get what seems to be an "extra" resource (ghost resource). This resource isn't actually connected and doesn't show up in the city screen - it's just a visual annoyance. To avoid it altogether, you can restrict the number of resources to 32 (bonus/luxury/strategic combined). If you reserve the 32 first for luxury/strategic resources and put bonus resources from 33 and up, it shouldn't have any effect on game-play. What happens is that if the off-network city is connected to the luxury/strategic resource in for example slot #11, the resource in slot #43 (if any) will also appear (11+32). Also a resource at slot #75 will show up if present (11+32+32).

I'll have to add that the slot number is referring to the position in the resource-list in the biq - not the graphics file "resources.pcx".

In the (old) composite screenshot attached, you can see that the city of New Dinas Emrys is connected to an iron resource (strategic), but is not connected to the rest of the trade network. In the city screen all looks normal (except that the number of iron resources show the civ's total rather than what is connected to that particular city). The inset shows the trade advisor screen on the same city, and as you can see, the bonus resource of "Exotic Woods" also appears as if it were a luxury or strategic resource. This is the "ghost/phantom resource". It's not really there.....

Hope I managed to shed some light on the issue.......
