Do you have any predictions or requests as to the next DLC civilization up for grabs?

Personally, I predict it will be the Dutch. But I'd much rather have the Apache.

So share your opinion! ;)

I am guessing that it will be Korea, the civs I want are Korea, Netherlands, Sioux, Phoencia, Austria, and Sumeria

I'm guessing the next DLC won't be DLC but will be included in the next patch...

If there's another DLC, I'd expect Korea or Zulu. They could throw us another curve ball like they did with Polynesia, though.

Other major options (based on being in previous civ games) are the Portuguese/Dutch/Celts/Mayans/Ethiopia.

My favorite option would be if they just announce that they are releasing an expansion and they include most of or all of these civs.

They have to release a DLC with a classical world scenario. Civ IV Vanilla came with one and there was a second one with warlords. There will eventually be a Carthage DLC with that scenario but it could a be a while.

It seems like right now they're working on getting the obvious civs out (Spain, Vikings, Mongols). Logically, I would say the Dutch, Portuguese, Koreans, or another African (We only have 2 right now) civ are next.

Remember, however, that they need to somehow incorporate it in a scenario.

My prediction: Zulu and Portugal (and/or Holland) in a scenario that involves the colonization of Africa... Maybe a little far fetched, I don't know, I hope I just gave them a good idea. :)

My Guess: Shaka and the Zulus, Dutch and Portuguese trading empires

My wish: Majapahit... also another trading empire.

Hey firaxis guys, here's a great DLC for ya: trading empires of the world with the dutch, portuguese, and majapahit. :please:

I'm actually thinking that Zulu and Netherlands are to be in the x-pak but who knows right :mischief:

I would request, and predict, Korea. Why they didn't release it with the patch is beyond me. Maybe they're still trying to choose which DLC to release? *shrug*

Maya or Portugal would be nice.

Does anybody have any facts for their predictions? :p

Zulu seems to be the most popular on the forums, Korea has been floating around a lot as rumors, but as long as it adds some unique (new) features I would buy it. Like Dutch Polders, an Impi which generates happiness towards a golden age when killing an enemy, or a civ with diplomatic abilities. The extra movement of the Danes didn't persuade me to buy.

If Korea were going to be coming soon post-patch, we might expect them to have replaced Seoul as a city-state with something else (like they did with Copenhagen/Sydney). Seoul is definitely still in the game, so I'm going with it not being Korea. Maya fit well with the new stoneworks (especially since it's at calendar), so I'm guessing Maya....but hoping Zulu.

Some southern africa Zulu-type civ for the stone and Netherlands for a colonization type dual pack. You have to try to establish a colony in the cape whilst struggling against the english. Could that make sense historically.

Hmm stoneworks at calendar- thats very Mayan true. I just want another african civ. I loved Ethiopia.

Nice idea, the colonisation of the Cape or Boer War scenario. Would work better if Victoria was in the game rather then Lizzie though.

I definitely want a Dutch and Portugal DLC because of their prominence in world exploration. I also think a few African civs, like the Zulus and Carthage are in order as well. But, I personally would like to see Poland, Austria-Hungary, Finland and Sweden.Oh, and maybe Korea and Maya.

I would like to have Sioux or Apache, Netherlands, Maya & Zulu. Huns or Goths can be an interesting addition to civ too.

Amazing idea with the Boer war.
Have they EVER had a scenario that took place in Sub-Saharan Africa?

Another good idea would be to have a few new African civs in a Colonization scenario where you control an African civ which is resisting the European encroachment. That would be awesome.

I'd also like to see the "barbarian" tribes of Europe like the Vandals, Goths, Visigoths, Huns, Magyars, etc. as playable CIVS to build up into empires. I'm not against the introduction of Portugal, The Netherlands or another seafaring civ either.

Frankly, I don't really care who it is, just as long as I get 2 or 3 new civs to play with soon!
