President thread- Term 3

We have a tech alliance with CBR. They are going to give us construction as soon as its done. We of course do likewise with our techs (except Music - not allowed to trade until 660AD).

I'll tell BAT though.
 
The new save is here. Some interesting developments.

BAT says we owe them Machinery because they gave us Feudalism. I don't recall but will look over the records later tonight.

Also GCA has shown up with an invasion stack in CBR. CBR will be masacred but they have more units so GCA can't take the city...this turn. I would suggest gifting our warrior to CBR.
 
I know that we owe them Machinery, but since we also have a deal with them for Civil Service with us Giving Philosophy. I forgot to add Philosphy6 when I added Civil Service to us, to be given by them. I need to have someone else play for awhile, since I have updated the BtS Patch and it seems to have done something to the assets folder. Actually I just think that I will need a copy of the copy of Civ4, so that will mean that I have 3 versions of civ4 on my machine. :lol: It seems that the patch of 1.74 only works for the main copy of civ. I will need to have someone play the turn if they can. Every time I try to play it just stops since it says that the assets have been changed.

This is anote to whomever plays the save. They need to apologise for my error of not also sending Philosophy with the save previously. Since they had Civil Service available we needed to send Philo for CS and also send Machinery. You cannot tell how [pissed] I am now that a patch for BTS is affecting this version. So this is a note to myself. Next time there is a partch, I must make copies of the previous versions of Civ4 just in case they change something in the original files.
 
Offered Philo and Machinery to BAT for CS.

finished the temple in BCLGland assigned a preist specialist to get going on a prophet. Started 'nuther fishing boat.

Feaver River finishes Forge next turn, probably rush Courthouse to prevent any unhappy citizens.

Gave CBR our warrior (saves 1 gold per turn! :banana: )
 
Good news is that I can now play the save again. I even made a thread at the UN site showing what can be done, but unfortunately I had to reinstall the game and the patch for it to work.
 
CBR says that GCA has 4 galleys and 8 units outside their capitol. 2 more galleys are vissible to their south. They have 4 cities left.
 
640 is here. I tried to have a look but my connection is so weak right now it would have taken almost 45 min to download. :)

It looks like Antonio has also resent their last peace communication (the one from Sept 26) to GCA, good luck with that guys. :rolleyes:
 
Things are begining to improve according to the demographics. Azale finished a settler and started a missionary. Fever finished a catapult.

But I think our 10 turns of peace is over.
 
We now have a few cities that are worth settling, so what are we going to do about them Here is site one that we could settle.

Here is city two. I am going to settle on the middle city site, since that seems to be the most productive eventually.

We also got an offer from EVG for maps. We built our first cat. :D
 
That first left city could be placed south to grab the horses, couldn't it? (I recall we don't have horses yet.)

The other cities look rather poor since they don't have any food resources available.
 
We do have horses already but this COG city is something new. We have Taoism in 3 cities and a missionary due next turn. I think its time to switch religions. That will also give BCLGland a big culture boost. What are the chances of flipping COG's city?

BTW: the warrior in BAT land costs 1 gpt in away costs, not a big deal but I don't think its worth it.
 
I was waiting until we spread Fever River with Taoism before we revolt since we get one angry citizen there and that is what we do not want to have happen. Since we have spread religion to that city, which will be next turn, for it to remain happy. Fever River is our production city and we do not want to lose one citizen that could be working a tile.
 
If :religion: spreads next turn, last turn was the one to do it?, as how many :mad: faces you have doesn't matter runing Anarchy but the :religion: can still be spread :)
 
Fever River had Taoism spread to that city. That is the only the thing of interest that happened in our turn, but next turn we will get our first Samurai and settle another city. That means we need another name.
