Here is one last set that has 25 different tiles of carnage.

May look better as pollution after a nuke as well.

Here are a couple that may look like ash around the volcanos and just dirty everywhere else, the second one is a little thicker.

Here is a preview with more blackness.

Here is my first try at flood pollution.

Edit: original post starts here.
I have always used mrtn's pollution, it is the best.

I have made a variant, tell me what you think, you can still see a hint of mrtn's trees.

My intent was to make it visible, but not as glowing as Firaxis's version.

I thought that the colours might work around the volcanos.

Looks pretty good, too bad the valconoe eruption and the pollution arnt 2 seperate graphic sets.

But the pollution caused by the eruption and the pollution are both the same graphics :)

Looks nice!

Can easily fit for semi-molten lava and industrial waste! :)

I know like I said too bad they are not (arn't) 2 seperate graphics. Although thinking about ir that really isn't grammatically correct. Maybe thats what caused the confusion.

I don't like it. To grainy.

Cool, I see it.

I think it might look better if you put in some black, making the trees darker and putting some in with the lava.

Funny, my first version had black in it, but trying being proactive I lightened it up to dark gray because I am usually criticized for using pure black as people seem to be sensitive to contrast.

I will darken it up again.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, it's appreciated.

hey...
these are great, but u know what i could REALLY use?
pollution that is blue, like water.

it was actually R8XFT's idea, and the more i think about it i like it.
if i could get blue pollution graphics, i can change "pollution" to "flooding",
a common thing along the Nile!
