Prince Difficulty AI

So the AI at this point has better ways to achieve technology, land and power. I was attempting to pursue the usual domination victory while conquering two of my neighbors when all of a sudden I find myself as pathetic in the most advance civilizations categories (at least i wasn't hopeless) and the most powerful AI declaring war on me. I was second in power. How do I become more advanced and powerful in prince?

For me i didnt notice that much of a change in difficulty switching from noble to prince, however, the starting location and available land makes a huge difference in difficulty of that particular game.

Yes, noble and prince are like twins, though prince is a lil' bit taller.
1: Play your tech trades right. Always broker techs before the AI does. But beware of trading military techs and strategic resources, decide early on who will be your victim to avoid warring with advanced units.
2: Settle a military city and be better at diplomacy. Build nothing but troops in your military city, but don't let your economy be crippled by unit upkeep. Manipulate AI. If you think a certain AI is much stronger than you and you're his/her possible target, be generous with trades strategically, build alot of troops till your ready for the attack or then sneak attack him/her first.

Smartet tech choise (don't tech what AI will tech for sure.. tech something you can trade for other techs without worry to lose something important), city placement, diplo strategy.. using land blockade to get place for more cities before opening borders (but opening borders just after all land is secured). Whip... yeah, really - whip is important thing too to race with AI (specially with early settlers/libraries)

Build Capital>Expand (steal workers if possible in the process)>Stabilize the Economy >conquer and conquer hard !>Expand even more !>Have a laugh at all those inferior Civ's ^^

Remember being patethic in one point in history at reasearch does not mean You cannot obliterate the Civ that is good with research

Your telling me... I've got a game going right now on Prince and she is now the first in power and is rapidly catching up to me production, even surpassing me in culture sometimes.
