Usually laptops have an "FN" button, and most keys have more prints than seems necessary. Look for a key with "Print Screen", or something on it, and press FN whilst pressing that button.
I hope that makes sense. I feel it's kinda difficult to explain.
I see FN and now that I look more closely I see that the Insert button has "prt sc" in a blue box below it. I pressed both though to seemingly no result. If it worked where would the screenshot file appear on the computer?
To access the screenshot you need to open up a picture editing program and paste it, then give it a file name to save it. MS Paint works well for me when editing Civ3 SG screenshots.
I'm sure the actual "print screen" image is saved as a temporary file, but I'm not sure where.
For isntance, my Print Screen is located on the SysRq button inbetween the insert and pause button.
@Zakharov - Actualy, the "print screen" creates a snapshot of the desktop and places it in the clipboard (Same thing happens when you copy a text and a graphic)
I found it out by accident in Civ 2 on an ancient laptop my father had... I pressed the wrong button oin mistake. I had been playing with only the four arrows so far... I was wondering how the AI moved in 8 directions and I just in 4...
I felt greatly enlightened... took quite some time to get used to using the numpad when playing Civ 3...
BTW, don't you have a numlock key? with that you can get the numpa to appear in the middle of the keyboard... although you'll have to toggle it on and off all the time for things like building roads and irrigation and mines...
