I guess it has finally come to this... I just got a private message spam ad for porn from some account named Lavashin56. There's no options that I could easily find as far as "report for spam" or "report message", so I figured I'd post here and let you guys be aware that this is starting to happen on the site.

Yes, forward the PM to a moderator or admin. The same rules apply in PMs as they do in posts. If you get a PM that offends you, you can forward it to a moderator/admin and we will deal with it.

I once wrote a nasty PM to a member here. Luckily, he seems to have never reported me. If he reads this, I apologise for doing it. :(

I got the same PM from the same user so I suspect its going out to a lot of people.

I have deleted all the PMs sent by the spammer and he's perm banned.

Thanks but you can't have the link back since it is in my email inbox and is all mine!!! :D

I thought it was a standard feature. As in the Admin controls the database, so can see anything. :)

Great, I somehow missed out on the porn-bot.

@esb: Some bots are smarter than others, and know how to answer ridiculous questions such as: Are you human? and; What is the following a picture of? I have no idea how though.

AlanH explained that what they do is re-route that picture through to another site, where a human would be doing a registration. They hijack that registration, and use the human's answer to feed-back to the original site.

I figured a human agency would be necessary, just wasn't sure how. Thanks.
