Problem installing Civ4

Hopefully someone can help me out. When I try to install the game it gives me a message to go to my control panel to install and configure system components. I have no idea what it means and it does not give me more info.
Running

P4 2.60G
1G Ram
xp Home
Radeon 9200 vid card

I've not heard that problem before, check in your control panel/device manager (sorry, I don't use XP so can't tell you where exactly to find the information) whether you have any devices with a ! next to them. Also, post a DX log (instructions in the stickied thread at the top of this forum), that may help give people some information to try and help with.

There's a brief reference to it here. It seems to occur if the autorun.inf is being read on bootup.
