Problem uploading to Forum Thread

I'm not sure what this paperclip thing is, maybe it's a pointer to the file rather than the file itself? Have you tried saving the game file to disk and uploading that instead?

Just a thought anyway, it's just that a single beep often indicates that the function you are attempting to do is not possible so you need look at finding another way.

The paperclip appears in Advanced editing mode, and does the same thing as the Manage Attachments button below the edit screen. If you are sure you have popups enabled than I don't know why it wouldn't work. All it does is open another window containing the file upload controls.

An alternative approach is to try using the Upload Files button near the bottom of the screen, and upload the file separately (not as an attachment) using that window. Then include it in your post by using the <my_save>[ /url] tags. If this doesn't work either then it seems highly likely that you either have a firewall or a pop-up blocker preventing new windows being created.

I had issues when using IE. No beeps, but no ability to upload. Switching to Mozilla/Firefox has solved that problem.

Alan, thank you for your help. The pop up blocking seems to be the trouble. I turned off the global blocking; previously I just used the "temporarily unblock option". The paperclip still did not work, but as you suggested the "manage attachment option" did work.
