I am dealing with a serious firewall situation. I picked up a cheap (no onscreen picture playback) digital camera. It seems to be a standard USB device, but every time I try to download pictures I get a barred by an admin level security queery. In particular I dont get an alternative USB drive on the desk.

Is there any way around it? Any time an instalation routine gets triggered I get flagged, eg the CD that came with the camera. I think I can load individulal files provided.

Through your Firewall, you can probable change the Settings so let inputs come in from that specific USB port. I know I can do that with my NAV '04. What type of Firewall is it?

Also, what is with the wacky name to this? So . . . random . . .

I happen to be in Iraq right now. The only line out is heavily monitored and so on.

As to the type of firewall, I'm not sure. AAFES, the gov entity I work for, has internal IT, and they provide the access. The OS is XP Pro if that helps. Also someone managed to load a different photo handler, so it can be done, I just dont know how.
