Greetings,

After installing BUG Mod 4.4, I encountered problems with other mods. I'm currently using XP. After launching another mod, the game tools menu at the bottom and top did not display. I tried to change the screen resolutions with no result. Two error messages did appear on top of the screen:

BugInit - cannot find XML file for mod init
BugPath - failed to parse mod INI file for NoCustomAssets

After launching another mod, the screen displayed a light brown box with the word "TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR" at the top and the "EXIT" button at the bottom right corner. After exiting, the map was displayed without any game tools menu. I'll appreciate any help or comments. Thank you.

Some mods are not compatible with BUG. This can happen when the mod itself has modified Python files.

You can make a specific mod stop loading BUG out of the custom assets by editing the mod's .ini file (in the mod's folder) and setting NoCustomAssets to 1. This should get the mod to run like it always did but it will not be using the BUG additions. To get such a mod to use BUG you have to actually merge it with the mod, creating a new version of the mod.

This is assuming it only happens for some mods. If it happens for all mods, or when running without a mod, then there is some other problem.

I worked!!!

You approach is correct; and, a conflict between custom asset folders existed in the BTS folder. One custom asset was from the original BTS and the other was from the BUG mod. I do not know how the BUG custom asset got in the BTS folder; but, a conflict was present. I simply removed the custom asset from BTS into a separate folder outside the program and left the BUG custom asset in the folder. Ran the program and it worked. It is unconventional, but I'll take it. At any rate, I appreciate the response. :)

Downloaded bugmod 4.4 and somehow screwed up my BTS game. Cannot see city screens, city build list, look into city info, ALT+CTRL+O not working, no tech tree etc. etc.. Obviously did something wrong on installing bugmod. Should I uninstall BTS and Bugmod and reload?
Any advice appreciated.

I uninstalled both BTS & Bug 4.4.
I have since done a complete re-install of BTS - works fine.
Tried Bug 4.4 but have same problems. Would appreciate the correct way to add Bug4.4 as I'd love to have it in my game.
Unfortunately, I am not a techie so no idea what I'm doing wrong.
