problems with more than 5 online ppl connected

Hi from Poland,

We tried yesterday to play online with a lot of people,

I hosted as server with direct ip connection and gave IP to people on our polish forum

In a minute 4 players connected and the rest wrote on forum, that they had "connecting to peer" after giving password and nothing happened

I rebooted game as host and again 4 people connected, but 2 same as before and 2 others, again the rest could not make it

so I started server with Internet games option, situation repeats again, after one hour trying we managed to connect with 5 players, all the others had to go to beds

is there anything, that me as host or others before connecting should do to play with more than 4-5 players?

my connection is 512dl / 194ul, and even with 5 people there was only few kB/s transfer, in the game with 5 people playing was great, no lags warps etc.

of course inside game I had chosen large maps with a lot of open slots

i've experienced general unfriendliness using the direct connect games. I have a lot of periodic disconnects during the game, etc. Not sure how to solve it unfortunately.
