I got my first space race victory and was real excited to see the movie, but I could only hear the audio and the entire screen was black. What gives? I am using Civ 1.29b2 for Mac.

- What versions of Mac OS and Quicktime are you running? What screen resolution? It works fine here, I've seen it in Jaguar and Panther with various QT versions that came with each. My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024.
- Is there a copy of the file "Race" in the Art/Movies folder in your Civ3 installation? You should be able to double click that file and play the movie in a Quicktime window. If that doesn't work then your Quicktime is screwed.
- When you launch Civ3 you get a preferences screen (unless you have disabled it, then you need to hold down the option key on launch to see it). That screen has a checkbox for changing resolution for movies. On my system that's checked. I haven't tried it unchecked, so I don't know if that can affect it.
