Procylon's Call to Power Project

You're right, it's not working. It says 17 til next.

I found the problem: In the Modinfo file, instead of it saying

<UpdateDatabase>CIV5GlobalDefines.xml</UpdateDatabase>

it said

<UpdateDatabase>CIV5GlobalDef.xml</UpdateDatabase>.

The only thing that I changed in Global Defines was the spacing of cities from three to four to tiles apart, so I don't know if it's something I did, something with the file, or if it's just the way my computer roles :crazyeye:. However, since I'm the only person who has said something about it, I guess it's just me. If anyone else sees this, it's the ninth file from the bottom in the mod info file (or just do a search for GlobalDefines to see if its there). Thanks for your help; I would have had no idea where to start looking.

LOL, I just noticed I'm at the top of the last couple of pages. I think I like this mod too much (if that's possible)
 
V9 updated.

40 Hopefully fixed ~Renaissance CtD Wall. If it isn't fixed with this version, I at least know it is somewhere in the global defines xml.
41 New Unit Flags for Civil Engineer, Missile Squad, Combat Controller, Micro UAV Team, Cybernetic Marauder, and Unmanned Aircraft. Thank knatte_Anka!
42 Made changes to tech trees, migrating military units/techs to the military tech page. Added 1 tech(Siege Engines for Trebuchets), and created Archimedes Lab wonder for Physics. More tech tree optimizing in the future.

I tested Civil Engineer and the Flag showed on the map. Let me know if the other Flags do not make it.

Also, it seems like the last V9's globaldefines.xml wasn't working properly. Let me know if this version's is also having problems. Easiest way to check is to start a game and go right into your city to see how much food your citizens are eating, and how much food is required for the first level. Should be 5 food per pop, and about 178 food for level 2.

Just downloaded the latest version and the government policy choices were switched back to vanilla but with a twist - You could only use that particular Policy tree. Is this intended?

Not intended.

Do you mean the text was switched back to vanilla, the actual effects, or both?

Try deleting all versions of the mod and redownloading.

Seems like the last couple uploads have selectively utilized various tables for some reason.

dl mod of 2011-01-14 at approx midnight.. im playing huge with americans on continents speed epic on prince. got to 3rd age about no crashes great mod tho still to do.. anyway no real bug report thou happynessand culture and science seems out of bounce for AI could be a prob..Also had a problem during anarchy wouldnt changepolicy..(republic)had a -24 hapiness..all the time..not sure if its a bug tho..also small weird thing about ((notice) (unnamed has become friend with unnamed civ...) no reason to popup in my opinion...any way i was up to about 138turns no ctds...just too drunk to keep on

Did you get the flag for "machin gunner"? Or do i need to upload it again.
 
Just an update on the addon mod ATOM:CTP for this mod's dreams of having orbital cities... I went ahead and made a thread on the main C&C forum for the first Civ 5 ATOM installment Call to Power with a screenshot of how the project is coming along so far. 43 More tech tree optimization
44 New Military Techs. Shipbuilding, Rudder, Naval Armor, Shells, Tracked Vehicles, Torpedoes, Submersibles, and Big Guns Doctrine.
45 New Units. Cog and Galleon.
46 Added Machine Gunner Unit Flag.

I think, that if you have more Tech and units in v9, It will miss some icons.

I'll look tomorrow, in v9beta, the difference between these 2 versions to add missed icons.
 
Yay new icons!

My only concern is you have some copyrighted images in there, such as the Age of Mythology icon and a Team Fortress 2 character. While usually not an issue, copyright/trademark infringement can lead to mod flagging and is a EULA violation. Stock photos and such usually are not a problem, but recognizable symbols such as those I mentioned might get you in trouble.
 
Wow Decimatus, I was gonna come in here and complain that you update things too fast, and then I realized that I was actually two updates behind:lol:.

I made it to turn 135 or so and then had a crash, but it wasn't from the tech tree or the wall; lol I think I just scrolled too fast. I guess that's good though, so now I can see what I'm missing. I'm almost afraid to start a new game because when I come back there will probably be a new version up. Everything looks great. You have really built something special here.

And for the graphics people, your work is awesome! I kinda just want to skip to the future eras so I can see them all.

I may be adding tech, units, and buildings for awhile, so if you want to continue adding icons, you can do it whenever it is convenient for you. I will absorb your icons like a sponge whenever they come out. :)

If you wait for new versions to start games you might not be able to play for a long time. :p
 
Does anyone know how to skip adopting policies? I want to keep the current government I have but its forcing me to use a policy. The old way of shift+enter no longer works.

Unfortunately the devs saw fit to make this a check box option in the advanced game setup.
