Yeah at first I did that accidentally but then decided to leave it and see how it turned out.

So, if you piss off the CS, they might eventually go to war with you unless you pay them off.

What do you guys think, leave the old return to 0 system, or have the CS influence degrade to war if you don't repair the damages?


I like it but.. there could be a ratio over ages or time... for the number of gold to bribe them...cause 2500 in the beginging is a bit steep. or not a return to complet zero but keep agression levels as they are... they could also maybe get a bit more culture as the AI..

Yeah that would be nice, but there is no easy way to put that in the game.

I will fix the CS hate for now. I also need to tweak the drop rate.
 
Minor V9 update.

65 Fixed Barb Camp gold. Should now be in the range of 150-300 gold per camp.

This package contains all icons DDS & XML Files and replace all previous packages.

PS: I put in package FontIcons (or StringIcon) although you don't use it.

Cool. I took a wrecking ball to the tech tree, so hopefully I can put the walls back up by tomorrow night... :p
 
Feuteupool, I think someone went wrong in your last batch. Olympics, Winery, and Brewery all have NanoTech Era icons.


The resources look great though, thanks! :)

Not sure if I want to spend tomorrow trying to get them on the map, or if I want to fill more gaps with new techs... Having more resources could make thinking of new techs easier... :p
 
Hi everyone i am going to be changing the tech tree a lot and make a version just for this mod, see pics of what i am intending it to look like eventually. As such i will be needing a full set of icons for each of the five tech tree categories:

Economics
Science
Military
Social
Engineering


If anyone can make some interesting ones that would be great ;)

The update will also fix those annoying CTD on selecting a category and remove the delay between pressing the category buttons and the page loading up.

Thanks a lot. That looks great, but in my opinion the symbol for military should be a tank.
 
Hopefully someone can come up with some interesting ones, those are just me putting random ones in to get a feel of how it will look :)

I really like the art style of those icons. Though I think the Military icon should be a sword of some kind, following the same style as the rest.

The others are pretty much perfect as far as I am concerned. Though, if someone wants to see if they can pull off something fitting that looks better, lets see it. :)

Takes (remove ".txt" from joint file) the update CIV5BuildingIcons.xml.

Hmm, now Brewery and Olympics are invisible, with Winery still being a NanoTech icon. hehe

No it's ok for me, I tested in game and I check my zip file to see if DDS file it's good, it's ok...

You are sure you have installed building*.dds in Art folder and you restart completly the game ?

I am beginning to attempt adding new resources to the game.

The resource gets added, however it seems to replace marble while taking marbles icon. And it was supposed to use Spice's art, but is instead invisible.

Probably going to continue working on it in the morning. Promising, if I can just get the correct icon and art to display for it.
 
Have checked the latest mod code and found a number of lines in files that have to do with my old flag files that are not needed anymore.

CIV5IconTextureAtlases.xml
from MACHINE_GUNNER_FLAG_ATLAS to UNMANNED_AIRCRAFT_FLAG_ATLAS

and the CIV5Units.xml
<UnitFlagAtlas>, <UnitFlagIconOffset>
for
UNIT_CIVIL_ENGINEER
UNIT_MACHINE_GUNNER
UNIT_MISSILE_SQUAD
UNIT_COMBAT_CONTROLLER
UNIT_UNMANNED_AIRCRAFT
UNIT_MICRO_UAV_TEAM

For these flags are already set to Feuteupool flags in CIV5UnitIcons.xml

and found one possible bug winery need calendar to be able to build (and grapes specify that it need calendar to be improved)
 
I can't play as much as I have been sense school has started back and all, but I hope you all realize how seriously awesome this mod is becoming. All the art looks great, the new techs are filling in the trees nicely, and the community involvement is actually appreciated and taken into consideration by the mod maker. I can't express how impressed I am.

FiresForever, I really like the new look for the tech tree. When Decimatus had said that he was making additional pages, that was what I had in mind. I would agree with the military icon being something sword-like, but all the others look great. Thanks for adding so much, and I'll be looking forward to seeing the completed social policy pages as well :)
 
D Attached is an update to the tech tree files,

Copy and paste over
Delete TechTreeCategories.lua and .xml
Set the new TechTreeEconomics.lua, .xml etc to True in VFS

Change log:

Fix to the CTD on clicking a category
Fix to delay between selecting categories
New Tech Tree selection page layout changed
