Does anyone know of a website where I can get a trial version of PSP8? I already got it from Jasc website however thats ends in 9 days and will lock up after that (hmmmm, if I reinstall it will it reset the clock?) and I just found out that the program costs $100 (it is worth that in my opion) and will take 10 weeks until I can make that kinda money and I'm not going to go with out it till then. I have every intention of buying it when I have the money since it is worth every dollar. It truly is a great program and I would be at loss without it.

I have version 8 (actually, 8.1). It's a great program. Just for example, here is my current WIP on it:

Anyway, I tell you this: dowloading another copy of it will not work, the trial will be out the same way. There are alternatives though, that you can use to keep it working while you does not have the money - and assuming that you will buy it, I don't support piracy, and, as you said, it's a great program and worth the money.

The first is to re-install everything in your computer every ten days. Not very practical.

The second is to keep your PC clock in the time period between the moment you installed it and that of the end of the trial. It is the only way to fool the program into thinking that it is still in the trial period.

The last way is to get a fix that will remove the copy protection. I actually still have one, that I used when I went through a similar problem before I bought it, and I can mail it to you, but only - I repeat, ONLY - if you can garantee me that you will buy the program, and not use it indefinitevely with the fix. After all, I want Jasc to make enough money with it to be worth working on PSP 9.

BTW, PSP 8 is FAR superior to PSP 7, specially the color editing tools (burn/dodge in particular). In fact, PSP 8 matches photoshop in coloring, except that photoshop has a better pixel engine (allows an easier creation of round lines) and a plethora more of effects avaiable and infinite more tutorials on the internet.

Anyway, I still use PSP a lot because, even with PS being better, I know too little of it's effects and I am more confortable with PSP...

Regards :).

Don't see how I would garantee that I would buy. I love the program and if everyone did a trial version thing forever then Jasc would make no money, and I feel that would be a bad thing. I will only be using the trial version for the next 10 weeks (or less if I get a good amount of money for christmas) since I belive that the program is costs less then it really is worth! I think I will set my computer clock back for a while. Thanks! BTW I don't support pircy either and since I will buy it in at most 10 weeks becuase other wise I am nothing other then a thief.

I was thinking of the honor system. Call me old-fashioned, but all I wanted was your word that you would do the right thing. If you just do that, i'll send you the fix and spare you from the aggravation of having to turn the clock back. After all, as long as you pay for the program, I don't think you'll be doing anything wrong.

Regards :).

PSP's nice. My dad bought it for a marginal discount at the realese of the seventh version in Israel at some conference, though I don't use it anymore.
It's well worth the money for someone who is using it and used to it.

Um it really isn't that hard to turn the clock back, all I have to do is double click on the time and a new window pops up with a calender and all I have to do is click on the date and month I want and click ok. I have done it several times for other reasons.

It's not that it's hard, but just that it can be messy, like making your e-mails be all out of order, and a number of other small annoyances. I know, as I said, I went through the very same thing. But do what you like, man.

Regards :).

Hmmm, never thought about that. Oh well I'm happy so long as I have PSP8 for ever now since until I buy it I will use the trial version which I belive doesn't have all same options as a non trial version(which I still think is underpriced, considering that the computer I'm on doesn't have any other programs that I could use with certian file types, like jpeg and pcx) I wanted it for christmas but my parents sad it was to expensive so I have to buy it myself.
