PTW patch 1.27f ?

Running Win 7- 64 and PTW 1.27f on new machine.
HOWEVER????
The patch does not give me the "automated" features like "irrigate to nearest city", "build road to" etc. I've downloaded it twice and installed ...no change.
I'm using the patch I found here on Civfanatics for the American edition. (since that's where I am)
Have I missed loading something?

I believe (although it's a long while since I looked) that the extra buttons are preferences that you have to turn on. Check your settings.

Yep, that's where they were....long time for me too....couldn't find my manual either.
For some reason I thought they came with the patch.

The manual is on the PTW CD:\Manual\Civ3PTW_Manual.pdf . (As are the vanilla Civ3 and Conquests manuals on their CDs.) I just accidentally rediscovered this while toying with Civ3 on Win7. Oddly it is in black and white, though.

On the other hand, the Civ 3 Info Center and War Academy are arguably more useful than the manual.
