Canada finishes its wonder in Toronto. This pledge of vengeance to the people induces a huge military expansion both in the naval and army forces. The Canadian King then uses this new power to send his troops on an expedition into the peaceful Inuit tribes to annex those areas.
The new Christian leader of Axum rapidly improves the quality and training of his armed forces making his army the most dangerous in East Africa. While small, they have a willingness to fight that is rivaled only by the Arabian Bedouins.
Mongolia again takes advantage of its overwhelming military superiority by unleashing a brutal attack on nearby Tibet. The Mongolian horsemen are able to defeat the Tibetan army in the first battles on the steppes until the Tibetans realize the Mongolian limitations and retreat to the Tibetan Plateau, where the rugged terrain makes the superior Mongolian tactics nearly irrelevant.
The Zulu Empire uses its overwhelming strength in the Sub Saharan region to try and intimidate its neighbors into submission. Many of the newer tribes resent the advanced people from the south for feeling that they are inherently superior to the lesser advanced tribes. As such many of the nations not allied to the Zulu already begin to develop closer ties with one another for fear of a Zulu attack against them all.
The Cossacks continue on their aggressive policy of expansion by attacking the Russian tribes with the Finns from the north. The Cossacks are able to make impressive gains before the assorted tribes decide to unite behind a strong leader that could lead them to victory against the invaders.
Honduras begins the first concerted effort at cartography in the American world. Their maps are able to nearly accurately portray the world from the Caribbean up to the Canadian coastline.
The Arabs continue their crusade for Islam only against a different target. Signing peace with the Sasanian Empire they turn their focus north against the Christian powerhouse of Assyria. Claiming it is a Jihad against an outdated religion the Caliphate, is able to muster many recruits to fight against the Pope in Asur. Likewise the Pope is able to put a call out to fight against the infidels that are invading a Christian stronghold. Troops have been dispatched by Armenia to help their Christian neighbors.
The Hun Kingdom collapses! Following the death of Attila there was no ruler strong enough to keep the Huns united and continue their domination of the local tribes and Kingdoms. As such the Hun menace has disappeared as quickly as it appeared. In east Europe many previously oppressed people have risen to take control of their own kingdoms and dramatically alter the landscape of the region. Likewise the Roman and Greek Kingdoms both are destabilized by the flow of refugees from eastern Europe and decide to unite following the union of Churches and governmental institutions. The new Byzantine Empire spans from Constantinople and Greece to Rome. Overall religious and political authority rests in Constantinople, however the Bishop there has receding power due to the Popes call in Asur for a crusade against Islam.
Anti Christian attitudes flare in Spain. Across the Spanish Empire the reports of Burgundian diplomats spurning Spanish ambassadors creates rage against Christians and it is taken out on the Visigoths and the Spanish Christians. Mobs loot Christian shops and burn Churches. The new Bishop of the Byzantine Empire in Constantinople is able to devote a small amount of time to the problem considering the lurking danger in the Mideast. He does however put out a call to Christians to convert the heathen Spanish. This action puts the most powerful Empire of the Western Mediterranean and Christendom on a collision course.
Japan, acting with the approval of the Mongols to the west, invades Korea. Streaming across the Yalu river the Japanese armies are rapidly engaged by the main body of the Korean people. The poorly equipped army is routed by the Japanese and falls back to defend the capital of Seoul. The Japanese army runs amuck across North Korea, ransacking and looting the area following their victory. Han China protests this action vehemently and ponders intervention. The only thing preventing them is the Mongol attack on Tibet.
The Vandals are able to complete their conquest of Sicily and following that the Lybian providence of Sicily succeeds from the crown to avoid overthrow by the Vandals an proclaims a Tripolian state.
In Southeast Asia peace returns as a cease fire, but no official treaty is signed by the warring alliances. Borders are held for now with upcoming negotiations about territorial reparations to be discussed once the leaders can be assembled.
