PumaSNES1: For Real This Time

Im back so ill start doing my orders again after this update

Vietnam, seeing the freedom enjoyed by the far away Sinhalese form a council of Elders to initiate reform in the country. These most wise of men will figure out how to make lasting positive changes in the governmental affairs of the Vietnamese people.

The Canadian navy isolates the battered Winnebago navy and offers it generous surrender terms. After an initial refusal in which 1 Canadian and 5 Winnebago ships were sunk the enemy commander surrenders his fleet to the Canadians, greatly enhancing their naval power. This combined fleet then turns it’s wrath on the greatly outnumbered Huron fleet. Refusing to surrender and promising to fight to the last the Huron fight valiantly, exacting a high price from the Canadians, but in the end being eliminated to a man, due to superior numbers and training of Canadian ships. Seeing their naval forces capitulate to the enemy demoralizes the already besieged defenders and despite the hope of Winnebago commanders it serves to further weaken the defense of the capital. When the eventual Canadian assault of the city does commence they find many pockets of troops readily surrendering. The defense of the capital crumbles quickly as Canadian troops swarm throughout the city. Following the collapse of the Winnebago military the Canadians turn their armies against the Huron, but in a roundabout way. They land their armies from Winnebago in Cree territory behind Huron lines. The landings are nearly unopposed and succeed in nearly destroying the remaining Huron forces, they fall back to a tiny remainder of their nation and dig in for the final battle. However the enemies of Canada have not been standing idly by while seeing their allies crushed. The Cree launch an overwhelming assault that with the help of the Montagnais penetrates to the Jonathan Shade Seaway, severely restricting the ability of Canada to resupply their besieged city at the mouth of the Ocean. However, the influx of war booty from conquered Winnebago and Huron lands infuses the economy of Canada, forestalling fears many merchants have that the war has gone on too long. Further the Canadians have devised an ingenious system of communications to aid in their military exploits.

France sends their fleet to extract all forces from the fight with the Islamic armies and turns them on the Viking troops in Denmark to the north. The mainland territory falls quickly to the armies of France but are held up by the Baltic Sea separating the two opposing armies. The French King urges his peasants to head to the fight in Denmark to acquire land. This angers some French nobles as they feel the land belongs to them by rights. Also troubles continue on the coast as Viking raiders expand their raids and bypass French defenders to strike at unprotected towns and monasteries.

On the British isles Scotland is rapidly falling to the vastly superior Viking armies. Pleas for assistance are again sent to England and France but France is involved in their wars and England has no definitive leader to fill the power vacuum with. Hence, no help is forthcoming.

In the Middle east a great influx of Muslim troops arrive for the war but with the recent death of their ruler it seems as though the Jihad has lost it’s purpose. The highly trained troops fight with vigor and determination and coupled with the French withdrawal from the holy land the Muslims are able to push back the Crusaders nearly to the sea. They charge through Armenia and nearly destroy it. All that remains is the redoubt of Baku. The Christians fare better in Egypt where the armies of Espania wreak havoc on rearguard Muslim troops and nearly push to the Sinai peninsula.

Jin China invades the Han in the goal of finally uniting the Chinese people into a grand empire.

Don't think to attack south at our enemies the Makkura. That land is family land handed down to my brother from my father. It is rightly my land and any attempt to claim it on Espania's part will be met with war.

If you agree to leave your alliance with the Cree as well...

From: Canada
To: Huron

Independance? Independance?

The best you can hope for is limited autonomy within Canada if you surrender now. You will still handle domestic affairs, but foreign affairs and your military will be under our command, we will be able to put as many troops as we want in your territory - which will be under our protection - and you will not be allowed to secede, because the last time you betrayed us like this it has cost us a great victory.

I really don't see why do you try to resist.

---

You missed the map change in China, IMHO. You said Jin invaded Han, but the map doesn't show it.

They resisted. Jonathan Shade admitted this - these people, the barbarians, resisted bravely.

It was futile, ofcourse. But they held up the best of plans... Still, now at last, he was ready to give battle to his main enemy. The Cree.

Since its very birth, since the legendary coming of Constantinids from across the Eastern Ocean, Canada was surrounded. Barbaric tribes, natives, Inuits... barbarians, or walukes as they were often called for the warcries of one tribe.

Some of the walukes were friendly, refined, even civilized - the Iroquois, who by now had intermarried and were as good as any Lawrentians, the Hondurans - only true allies of Canada... But most were opposed. Because Canadians did not look or speak like them, these dark, foolish peoples hated Canada. Some of them, like Hurons, lied their way into friendship - only to betray! Betrayal was all the northern walukes were good for.

Since Constantine the First, the walukes were enemies, and as only walukes surrounded Canada, as there were only walukes and Canadians, that meant that the world was against Canada. But Constantinids closed their eyes to it, signed alliances... and in few cases, walukes did prove to be real allies.

But when it mattered, only Canadians woudl defend Canada. The Iroquois have become good Canadians, and Jonathan Shade hoped... that the other peoples that he conquered would do the same.

Yet that would take much time. By then, Shade would be dead. Will his descendants continue his work, he wondered...

---

Jonathan Shade, the Regent of Canada, woke up. Pitiful, dirty Huron mesangers were begging for him to spare... not their lives. Their freedom.

He answered to them in angry, contemptous tones.

"Independance? Independance?

The best you can hope for is limited autonomy within Canada if you surrender now. You will still handle domestic affairs, but foreign affairs and your military will be under our command, we will be able to put as many troops as we want in your territory - which will be under our protection - and you will not be allowed to secede, because the last time you betrayed us like this it has cost us a great victory.

I really don't see why do you try to resist."

He did not want peace, he wanted them to resist and to give him a pretext to slay their treacherous kin. But if they submit peacefully... why not? He was strong.

And walukes respect strenght. They do not betray those that are strong.

good update puma,... but I have some questions:

if Islamic Empire only increased army by 4000 then how do they have 1700 troops?

They had around 12000 troops, and I assume I killed alot of their troops in Egypt. I am also sure they could not have spent money on troops because they have a stable economy... I recall they had something more like failing last turn?

LOL, Puma, my thread is slowly gaining up on yours in reply numbers: you have 1548, I have 1519.

das, yah i know about china, noticed that just after i posted the update

amirsan, b/c i have not updated npc stats yet, sorry, i'll do that now

and some diplo for das

Montaginis:

Secret
Agreed

one other thing, das you've already had two wonders for this age which is why your new one wasn't started

To the English

The Frankish Kingdom hereby offers the Crown Prince or any other prince of the Frankish Empire to take the throne of your king-less nation.

To the Scots

We will come to your aid. Stand fast in the face of enemy oppression. Field an army and repulse the enemy in Scotland.

To the Vikings

You've pillaged Frankish homes, monasteries and estates. Prepare to be killed and to have your ashes spat upon.

Orders:
Increase Economy
*If I can* Train the Conscritps and Enlist them for the Army
(Erase the line in the country that blocks north from south. I was going to use it for states but I dont want to anymore)

:bump:

No! This must not be dead!

This better not be dead, because I already sent orders.

And, Puma, I really do think 25 years is more then enough. Alexander conquered Persia in much less time. I know he had horses, but still!

To Arabia
From Espania:

As you can see, the royal Caliphate of the Muslim Empire, we have re-liberated the Egyptian lands in 1 turn. This was our goal, to liberate Egypt, however if you tempt us to continue we will have to keep fighting you and it will be much harder for you. You may very well then lose Syria, Anatalia, and even Babylon if you continue. Our economy and military of the Byzantine-French-Tripoli alliance is much stronger then yours on your own. Do yourself a favor, lets make peace, leave Egypt for ourselves where it belongs with its African neighbors. If you leave Egypt aswell as hand us over the Sinai Desert, then we will no longer threaten you again. We can mutually build a wall between us, and a no military zone.

This is your decision, make a wise decision is all we ask.

i know you all don't want this to die, and neither do i, but lets face it people, i've only recieved 2 sets of orders in the past week. either get on the ball, and get your fellow players to submit orders too or this becomes something i cannot save
