Im planing to do a senario but how do i change the date ex: a WWII senario has to take place in 1939. so how do i do this

Go to the Scenario Properties tab.

Then change the date to 1939 AD, and change the weeks and the turn limits accordingly.

One: You Signature is too long. Reduce it to 5 Lines (including blanks)
Two: You put this in the Right forum! Congradulations
Three: You may wish to make a different kind of scenario, as there are several out there already, not to mention the Behemoth that is storm over Europe looming on the horizion.
Three: We're not going to mention that World War II started in 1937 with the Japanese invasion of China.

That was just an example ill be making a world 1890 senario

Well, then you're going against El Justo's massive Age of Imperialism 3.0 coming out soon.

Yes, there is. At the bottom there is a box called base unit of time, and you use that.

One: right
Two: you really are mean. Check my location ;)
Three: If he goes against SOE he´ll be crushed.
"Three": some people think it started with the attack on Pearl Harbor, and that everything that took place beforehand was a local war. IIRC, USA agreed on peace with Germany on 1952 and the Soviets in ´56.

Well, you should have said you were using Civ 3 Vanilla. Everybody here has Conquests, so that is an option in the scenarios. But, you're using Vanilla, so no one knows how to change the date.
Buy Conquests! It's only $10 right now.

I looked on the civ3 website and it came with PTW not conquests and i have ptw

good luck then... I´ve not played PTW in 6 months now... I´m getting mad!

You can't change the map based on the civ. The only thing you can do that will change based on the civ is placement of units and cities- instead of assigning them to a specific civ, you can assign them to a payer number, and then allow that player to be any civ. (I think this is possible in PTW, but maybe not.) If you need to have different maps, you could create a separate biq for each playable civ.

There can be as many playable civs as you want. Just check the "Human Player" box for each one on the Players page.

Wasn´t there a civ limit? There´s a building limit...

Yes there is you are limited to the number that is originally there so if you want to add one you have to overwrite an existing one.
