Question about December 2005 direct X pls

I recently downloaded decembers 2005 Direct X , now my question to you is ........when I go to open it, a small box appears and says.......

"were would you like to put these files"

I have no clue , so if some one with the computor brains can help me out , it would be really appreciated !

I just put them in a temp folder in 'My Documents' then ran the installer from there. I think you have to unpack everything first from the downloaded file then use the unpacked installer to update.

Correct, it needs a temp storage area from which to start the installer.
