When I play Civ II, the top of my screen is the standard Mac menu bar, with the apple at the far left and clock at the far right. When I play Civ III, the game takes up the whole screen, so I can't see the time or more importantly, how much battery power I have left. When I was playing Civ II, if I wanted to switch to another program, I just had to minimize Civ II and I'd have my standard desktop. For Civ III, I have to end the game to get to my desktop, then restart it when I'm done. If I'm just doing something like checking my battery power, this is a lot of steps just for one quick look.
This is only my second game of Civ III, so maybe I'm just missing something basic or simple. Any advice on how I can get Civ III to allow me to see the top Mac menu/header bar while I'm playing?
