Questions about the embassy (and other diplo-things).

I am still a bit confused on the construction of an embassy. Is it a traditional building that you construct in the city menu or a diplomatic option that you would establish as you would a treaty?

My guess would be that it's a diplomatic option. You construct buildings in your own cities, not in AI cities. There's no reason to build an embassy in your own city, rather you would build (establish) it in AI cities. Ergo, it would not be a building that is selectable from your building queue list.
