be sure to save it as ".jpeg" though, if you want to upload it to civfanatics.

open a new .bmp with microsoft paint or your favorite editing tool and press paste. save it and be happy. You need to convert it to .jpg for uploading it here

I can't say at the moment wether it is right historically to start with (however, The Ottoman Empire certainly encompassed the area at one time), but it certainly is intended gameplay-wise.

Yeah, I understand Turks flipping the Caucasus and Asia Minor. The Ukraine, Romania and all of the Russian Black Sea coast is a bit much IMHO...

Use the "insert image"-button if it is already uploaded and enter the web address.
Use the "easy upload"-button to upload it at civ fanatics. it will give you the address and also the code to directly implement it in your post.
Anyway it should look like this in your post:

Re Sevastoplo flipping.

The Crimea was ruled by an officially Mongol, but in actuality Turkish (as with all Western "Mongol" states) Khanate from the 13th century. It became a proper vassal of the Ottomans in 1475.

Yeah, well...I guess that came out kind of wrong (but that's cool that it's funny  )

What I meant was there's usually a thread in the general discussion forums labeled something like "Questions/Answers." That's all I meant...

the FAQ link produces a 404 error, so i'll ask here:

which civ4 version do i need to play the current RFC vanilla v1.978?
it's a rather obvious question i know, but i couldnt find any info on it at the download link or in the RFC setup (readme?) itself..
i suppose i'll ned 1.74, but just wanted to be sure..

I think youre right, its going to need vanilla with the latest patch (if youre not sure what version youre running go to advanced>check for updates)

thanks for the quick reply.
i am merely concerned because "requiring the latest patch" may have meant sth else back when the devs were writing it.

this dl link for patch 1.74:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=6183
reveals quite a few replies of ppl unable to play their mods after installing it, so i wondered whether maybe 1.61 was the "latest patch" for which the current release was produced.. :)
