You can go into the civ editor, select 'player 1,' and then place cities. They will be yours when you load up the scenario!:mwaha:

i meant for it to automatically place cities for all players randomly.

I have a problem with trying to take screen shots. I push the print screen button but it seems like nothing ever happens. I also don't know where to look. I looked inside most civ folders and can't find it. Perhaps my print screen button isn't working? Is there another way to capture screenshots or is print screen the only option. If it is then what location do they get saved in.

YOUR DOING THE FIRST PART RIGHT. you must then open paint and click edit paste. Then save.

Gamemaster nailed it. There are of course a variety of different programs to capture screenshots, but why spend time on them when you've got Paint as a part of Windows (Accessories)?

On my laptop, you have to press Ctrl-Prnt Scrn.....Oops, I just checked, the Ctrl is optional!

The screenshot is then saved to a virtual clipboard. (Viz. As in Copy filename.) :)

lol thanks a lot gamemaster! I had step one down but didn't know step two. For some reason MSPaint is gone from my XP. I tried to open a picture with paint and it would just freeze up. It isn't in accessories and I did a file search and it comes up under C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 but when trying to load that it just freezes also.... I am not sure if I somehow deleted it or something? I downloaded a cool free paint program from www.download.com named Paint.NET v3.36 which works. I suppose I'll use that program till I can figure out what is going on with mspaint.

Don't bother. Paint.net is the next step of mspaint. It can do things that mspaint can't. IIRC, the team that worked on mspaint worked on paint.net, but that could be me misremembering from several years ago.

im playing civ3 complete and all the wonders that were new and not present in the origonal civ3 dont appear on my city view after ive built them is there a patch or something for this?
(please feel free to tell me im an idiot and that there is a whole different thread already adressing this)

Using a program such as Gadwin PrintScreen will save you a good deal of steps/time if you just take the few minutes needed to set it up. You can reduce it to the one step of just hitting PrntScrn or any number of other customizable options.

Take screenshots with the option of mouse or no mouse, full screen or just a selected or active area, default naming, saving to predetermined folder, different format options (and you can use more than one ie. *.png and *.jpg) etc etc

The program takes screenshots. That's about as stripped down as it gets.

Dude, I was responding to thetrooper.

You responded after me so I just assumed you were talking to me.
