To build any kind of modern plane or ship you'll need oil and maybe rubber or aluminum too. Check out the Civilopedia (by the main menu button in your game) for more about each unit.

How come when i capture an enemy base on another continent it doesnt share resources with my main territory. I have a harbor and a visible trade route with no fog of war between the two. No enemy ships anywhere and i can sail the ocean squares without any danger.
Um, do you have a harbor on the OTHER continent as well as the one(s) on your home continent?

Thanks... I will read through it when I get the time. But for now, ... those resources were not (at least I didn't find them) available in the America scenarios I played???

The proof you can always learn something. I'm not a fan of the pop rush because of the unhapiness, but had always asked myself why so often I get the message you can't afford that rush...

Anyways, I've sometimes wondered about something and have never saw a study on this. When a fast unit gets attacked, how do the PC decide where will he retreat? I think I've already seen a unit that retires on a tile next to a city of mine where he would have been in safety or choosing an open tile while there's a mountain next that will give him a bonus. I guess the minimum is 2 away from where the attacker came from but there are more than one tile eligible usualy.

Does anyone know something? Thank you. I can remember many times being surprised by the direction choice of the PC.

The hitties have a MPP with the Mongols and I want to attack the Hitties, but I dont want to trigger their MPP, iss there any way, I can break the MPP? Military Alliance? Anything?

O and another question, if I destroy the Hitties while in a MPP with a civ, and the MPP is active, meaning that civ is in war with the hitties,, do i get a rep hit?

If I have 2 citizens of 2 different nationalities, how can I choose wich one to pick when I create a worker?

Thanks

@Ginger_Ale: thanks for the details :)

Another Q related to poprush: how much unhappiness is caused by poprushing? I just rushed a temple, killing 1 citizen, but the one citizen remaining in the city it still content (as it was before). When do people become unhappy because of it?

One unhappy person per citizen killed.

Native citizens will become workers first, then starting from the last AI in turn order (which is first on the histograph). Barbarian citizens will never become barbarian workers.

Yes, it is 20, however, you can never poprush when it would take more than half the city's population.
But, you can usually get around this problem by Pop-Rushing a "Cheaper" unit and then changing the Production to a "More Expensive" unit and then finish off the Pop-Rush.

Example:
City Pop=3. You want to Pop-Rush a Horseman and you have 1 shield in the Box. If you try to Pop-Rush, it won't let you. However, if you Pop-Rush a Spearman first (which uses 1 pop), then change the Production to Horseman and Pop-Rush again, you'll have sacrificed 2 citizens in a 3-citizen city! ;)

But, I think the "Unhappiness" lasts for 20 turns per person, no? (viz. Not Forever?) :)

In your case, the citizen became Unhappy, but then was "Contented" by the Temple! ;)

I don't think there's a hard-and-fast rule on that question.

Depends on the Wonder.

For most Wonders, the main consideration is the safety of the city where it's located.........and the time it takes to get the SGL to a "suitable" city.

Pyramids.......Pick the Continent.
FP.................Pick the location where you can generate the most additional resources. ;)
