Where can I find a easy explanation of inserting images from my computer to a thread? (like a worldmap)

Get an account at photobucket or imageshack. They're free. When you upload the image to their servers (Don't worry, they have instructions on how to do it) they'll give you some kind of BB code. Not HTML and not Filename.

Then you just add this code to your post, where you want the image to show up:
[img]http://yourfileserver.com/yourfilename.jpg[/img]

There is a limit of 10 images per post that you can use. This includes smilies.

I am not sure what the max number is, but I think someting like 141 is the most you can count. I remember a few stacks that I could not scroll down the whole way.

It is not common for me though as it has only happened a few times. Mostly I see from 1 to 120 in a stack, but I have had 6 to 9 stacks next to my beachhead at about 700+ units. They had a bit over 2000 units all together.

Even though it is useless, can you nuke yourself?:crazyeye:
With an ICBM, I'm pretty sure you can nuke any tile except the one the nuke is sitting on. I have nuked my own tiles...

Err, ok, I've been having a problem with this. I'll download a scenario, or map, and discover yellowish diamonds, as well as no resources. What do I need to download? I've been playing this game for a while, so I know basics, but I haven't been downloading mods, scenarios, or maps, etc. for that long. Thanks for any help, I don't know hat I'm doing wrong, lol.

Yellow diamonds indicate landmark terrain that the mod creator specified in the editor. If you are having problems with resources, you should post a question in the mod specific discussion thread.

Is there a way in the editor that I can FORCE the AI to make armies instead of rushing some stupid city improvement?

Have an improvement/small wonder that kicks out an army every 20 turns or so. If they have them, they'll use them.

But the problem (in C3C) is that one of the factors the AI uses to decide what unit to place is movement points. In C3C, as I'm sure you know, you get an extra movement point with an army. So if the AI has an empty army, and 3 pikemen to put into it, it will only load the first one because then the army has 2 movement points, and the pikemen only 1. This is why in conquests you sometimes see the AI with a 1 movement defender, and a two movement attack unit.

I rememeber playing [civ3] one time and the Zulu got a MGL and they made a army with 1 impi and 2 horseman. Pretty useful army actually.

The AI uses armies in vanilla and PTW. They don't fill them properly, though -- you'll see things like a longbow/cav/musket army.

I seem to remember hearing that the lack of AI armies in C3C was an unintended consequence of trying to fix the random-fill problem, especially the mismatch of unit speeds. Somebody had the bright idea to make the second, third, and fourth AI units in armies have to match the speed of the first. Only, they *also* gave armies an extra movement point. So if the AI put a cav in an army first, that was it! Nothing in the game has four movement points, so the army could never be filled past one unit.

This can't be the whole problem, though, or you'd see a lot of one-unit AI armies around.

One more thing on your previous question, too: it *is* possible to nuke the tile that an ICBM is built on, or at least it was in vanilla. I nuked my own capital in one of my first chieftain games. What happened was, I built an ICBM and wanted to see how large its range was (Civilopedia? What's that?). I was used to cancelling bomb orders by clicking somewhere outside of a unit's active range. Only the ICBM bomb range covers the entire map, so I was baffled how to cancel it. I didn't want to nuke anyone at the moment. So finally I guess I figured the game wouldn't let you bomb your own city, and simply clicked on the city tile where the ICBM was. Whoops. :D
