I've never been able to use them after I settled the tile.. thats why I was wondering.. I'll give it another shot though *runs off to Rome game *

Thank you very much Tim Bentley, it seems I've always jumped the gun in my games! That was exactly what I needed, once you pointed out the fact that you needed rocketry first it was like a slap in the face! thanks for the help I can finally enjoy the end of my game!

This seems quite weird. Whenever I want to do a precision strike, I try to select one of my enemy's cities that is within sight & within the range of the stealth fighter or bomber. But it won't let me. It gives me a circle with a cross through it. Could my planes being on a carrier affect it being able to do Precision Strikes?

I still can't read it.

Maybe someone else can.

According to the civilopedia tho, precision strikes take out improvements first, until they're all destroyed, and then starts reducing pop. So if you've bombed that city down to one pop and it has no improvements to destroy, you can't precision strike it.

I could not unzip either file. Hope someone else can. But I think your answer is right, because I had the same problem. I had killed off all the people except one and the defenders and kept getting the x in the red circle when I tried to pression bomb and a fail with regular bomers.

What's odd is that the cities I try are in perfect health. They have about 12 citizens. Also, I can precision strike my own cities but not my enemy's. Maybe this is a bug? (Note: I play just regular Civ III, no extra add-ons and such. That might be why you can't open my save file.)

Are you trying to strike outside your range?

I'll have to wait until later to open the save... are you patched to 1.29f?

Turner, he definately does NOT have version 1.29f. Before I found CFC + patched my game, I had this bug too with vanilla Civ3 - I could only precision strike my own cities. When I patched the game, it worked fine. (Though I would precision strike my own cities thinking it would quell resistance :crazyeye:).

11ghjones: You need to get the latest patch.

Anyway, I have yet another question..

Where do I post map requests? Can you even request them?
