Seafaring-1 bonus commerce on sea towns. Extra range on ships.(1 extra I think) Half priced sea type city structures (harbors etc) Extra chance of sea promotion you mean? *shrugs*

Whats totally random, resource placement? It likes to group them, and I like them grouped too. it makes sense and makes the game interesting. Walruses for example do tend to collect on one beach in large numbers.

Also if an AI captures one of your units (worker, artillery, etc) do you still pay support for that unit?
No

Is there a way to play on the real world map and have all the Civ's start out in their real world locations (without having to create my own scenario)?

open up the Earth map.
dlete all the player start locations on map.
Put new ones on, making them be for the civ you want them to be.
Do it in Conquests, Europe is fun.

I would look around, I am sure I recall someone making one. I would look in the creation forum.

Yes but if a square means the size of a town, that means that my ... 15-25 walruses would form a lot more than just "one beach".

I find it very irritating that the AI civs restart when I kill them totally, is there a way to put this option of? (I'm playing vanilla)

He he...

I failed to make myself clear. Let's try again:

Which, if any, trait "helps" promote naval vessels? Seafaring, militaristic, none or both?

And it is the promotion I find random.

:)

Seafaring gives vessels an extra movement point. I think they're also more likely to get promoted, but I don't honestly know.

Dunno about Vanilla, but in C3C you are able to uncheck "Respawn AI players". You do that on the screen where you choose your civ/leaderhead. Look for "Respawn AI players" under victory conditions (space race etc). Which patch are you using?

Make sure the option "Respawn AI Players" is "Unchecked" in the Player Setup screen at the beginning of the game. Then when you kill an AI Civ they will stay dead!

I'm assuming you're playing with the latest version of Vanilla......1.29. ;)

As I said, it looks like that with the neater railroads mod was well. Why wouldn't anyone post the file? How would you know what other people are willing to do?

Because it's against the forum rules, and as such no files will be posted.

Can't you reinstall?

Looks like all of your terrain is irrigated to me. I'd try reinstalling and seeing if that helps any.

i patched it and now it works, thanks:)

Tow comes with Rocketry.
Gurellia comes with Replacement Parts
Med Infantry with Fuedalism.

Well Tow and MDI do not come in vanilla at all. I think none of them do, but I forget about Guerilla.

I'm a vannila guy. What techs do you need to reaserch to get Med. Inf. and gurrileas and tows
The Tech you need is CASH.......to buy Conquests or Civ 3 Complete (Recommended)!

As vmxa says, none of these units are available with vanilla. :)

If he's got vanilla, then just by Conquests. No need to buy vanilla again.

Guerilla's are not in Vanilla. You need at least PTW for these units.
