Do captured Great Wonders continue to produce culture for the capturing civ?

I think the single exception for this would be the Temple of Artamis. If it hasn't yet expired, it will place temples in all of your towns and give you border expansions. However, you won't get any culture from the wonder itself.

And by the same logic also the Internet (research lab in each city).

If I have a scientific great leader, can I still get a military great leader and vice versa? Or does the existence of one prevent the development of the other?

No and yes. When you have a chance for a leader spawn, the MGL will check to see for an existing leader, and if a leader exists it will not spawn. However, a SGL can spawn when a MGL or SGL exists.

You can't get a military great leader if you have a scientific great leader.
You can get a scientific great leader if you have a military great leader.
You can't get another military great leader if you already have one.

Wow, "Quick Answers" is right. Thanks for the info!

Another question I have: The appearance of a SGL is 3%/5% if a civ is the first developer of a civ advance. At what stage of the turn does the game do this check and award the SGL unit?

As soon as the tech is discovered. i.e. just before you are asked what you want to research next but before any builds are completed.

If you capital is not in view at that instant, the screen is centred around the capital with text announcing the generation of a great scientific leader.

It happens on the inter-turn, but I'm guessing he's asking if you AND another civ both discover it on the same turn, who gets it. I think you do, but not entirely certain...just like you always get a wonder when your city says 1 turn left.

That link is no good Tone.

Edit: gmaharriet, I'm quite sure that the human player gets the leader.

Changed the link as I checked it but this thread is lightning fast!

If it's a tie, then the player beats the AI and can get an SGL. It's the same as builds, the AI loses out on a wonder if it's a tie.

The human is Player1. The inter-turn is processed in player order.
So if its a tie, AI civ at slot 2 would beat AI civ at slot 3

Actually, non scientific civs have a 3% chance of spawning a SGL. Scientific civs have a 5% chance. There is a 0% chance for those who have not discovered it first.

I read in the FAQ on here that the SGL "boost science" action is bugged and doesn't work. Is that still true? In what way is it bugged? I remember I did test this out with a SGL, and it seemed to increase the number of beakers in that city.
