There is no thread for the balancer scenario. C3C has all 3 versions. this scenario wont build settlers

IIRC, I've played that mod a couple times, and that is part of the balancing of the game: you cannot build settlers (until, I think, somewhere in the late industrial, or modern age...)

I would expect that you would be given some information about the mod/scenario, so you know what is different. Many have restriction.

In the cilvilopedia there is no requirements to build them. But they do change to engineers later.

Civ 3 complete has it's files in Atari, rather than Firaxis folder and auto installers may not install it properly. I've had some probs with certain mods in Complete.

(not many here are English teachers...or, I mean, not many here vocally care too much about bad english in posts)

When you installed Civ 3 Complete, what directory DID you have it installed in the first place?

thank you,
this is not my first lanquage, so I didn't want to offend native speakers

first directory: local disk(e)\ igre\
second time: local disk(e)\ igre\ Civ3\

maybe I need to install it in the same directory again?

Sorry, I don't know about the e\ igre directory.

I guess I'll mention this, though, if it will help:
Just install it in the recommended location if it asks for you to specify where to install it. If it recommended you to install it in "e\ igre" then I cannot help you...

I presume that I should tell you that I made my self that directory to put all my games in it ("igre" on croatian means "games")

Ok, I will try to install Civ3 Complete in recommended location

thank you very much

I have Civ Complete. Mine is installed under local disk (c)\program files\

I don't know if igre=program files.

Looking at the complete directory path, it's Local Disk (C: )\Program Files\Firaxis Games\ and then a whole lot of other Civ game files beyond that.

"igre" is not a program file

I will install it in the recommended location

thank you

thank you very much
the problem is solved!

That's good to hear!

So, why did you create a whole new directory to put all of your games in? Is there some sort of advantage?

yes, at least for me

I have one partition only for Windows and utilitaries,
one for music,
one for games and some other things

and it is quite functional (excapt when you reinstall things  ), because then I know exactly where is something I need at the specific moment

Ah, ok.

Then it is for helping the user out, not for helping the computer out (in terms of performance, etc.) In fact, as evidenced by you, it probably isn't the best thing to do to the computer (for re-installing items, for example.)

yes, quite indeed ;)

I think the problem occured when I reinstalled it in the same partition with very similar directory path
