Thanks klopolov

It's a pity that the AI doesn't spy often or at least not in the games that I've played.

Can you start a war if you are caught?

I don't know, but my friend told me that if you keep trying to plant spies when you fail (yes, I know you have to wait to succeed) they will declare war on you, same with demanding tribute from the AI... Can someone verify if that's true or not?

Get them really pissed off first. Like demanding all their cities until they are really mad. Then try a spy mission. If you fail, then generally declare war on you.

To make sure you fail, do the "Immediately" option. It costs least and has the least chance of succeeding.

Best way to attack AI Destroyers/Battleships?

I seem to come off second best every time I try to attack Destroyers and Battleships, whether I use bombers, cruisers, destroyers or battleships. I seem to always lose 3 ships to their 1, or my bombers get shot down when trying to hit them from the air, yet their air attacks mostly succeed. Is there any set strategy to eliminate the AI successfully at sea? Short of using nukes, i can't seem to destroy their stacks.

Use the BOSOF strategy:

Bombard with many battleships. Kill the redline enemy ships. Run away.

klopolov: You can do what Turner and Smellincoffee said to do, or, when they are furious and have units in your territory, tell them to "Remove your forces or declare WAR!". It usually has them declare war.

BlackJAC: If the ships are within 2 tiles of coast, you can use artillery to get them to 1 hit point, which it is then easy to kill them with either cruise missles, bombers (C3C only, because of lethal bombard) or ships. Or, if you are playing C3C, you can use submarines to attack their stacks, and you can choose what ship you want to attack (ie; don't attack the battleship, attack their carrier or transport - something important).

They might have air defense from a Fighter/Jet Fighter on a Carrier set to do "Air Superiority" - you can do that too, or station (Jet) Fighters in your cities/airfields and put them on Air Superiority.

Is it on this image? I don't see what you are looking for. Perhaps they just made a drawing of a soldier or something and put it on the the cover - not everything on the cover is in the game. :)

No it was on the back of the box.

I was back on page 10 readinc about f333somthiungor other and he had a similer question as mine and it wasnt deleted. I was wonder ing if  there was a forum concerning the warrior who pops up at the end of the game and sweings his hammer and it ranks your civ

It's based on your score. I'm not sure exactly what the numbers are, but I' usually get the highest one... :hmm:

I'm sorry to keep asking dumb questions.

How do you use "suicide galleys"? I see a lot of people talking about them and, I understand the concept behind why people use them, but my game won't allow me to send galleys into deep water before I have researched navigation.

I've got C3C 1.22, does this make a difference?

Ginger Ale: thanks for the tip re: artillery

My Radar artillery makes short work of any attacking sea force that enters my region. Just never thought of using my artillery.

In your situation, you have to move Galleys into Sea/Ocean ONE square at a time! :)

So, put your Galley at the Coast/Sea border and mouse-point ONE square into the Sea square and the Galley will move! ;)

@BlackJAC: When the galley reaches the border between Coast and Sea, manually move it one tile at a time. (The game may require you to use the arrow keys on the keyboard for this, but I'm not sure about that.)

Thanks, my problem was due to the fact I was trying to move the galley about 4-5 tiles infront and was just getting a blank circle.

I'd like to put a up a poll, but I don't get it. Are there any pages that explain how?

How can I tell the turn order of the AI Civs?

Watching, obviously ;) ; but let's just say I would like to know who moves when before I hit enter this turn.
In that particular case, Persia, France and Ottomans.

Errr..... sorry, can you explain?? Just watching might not get you there because sometimes you don't see everyone moving.

Click on "New Thread" and below the reply box is a section that says "Additional Options", mark "post a poll" and enter the number of options you want to include. :)

No, I cannot explain - I'm looking for an answer as well. ;)
Possibly with SeedBeast, if the Civs are listed in the correct order? Or from the Diplo Screen? Powergraph?
