TruePurple said:Hmm? I want to make a couple of settings default. Like giving Curragh's transport, giving jungle squares more output, I was thinking food 2 money 1. (from unique goods found in jungle squares) I suppose if I overwrote the default games .big file that would make it harder to play against other players? I'd have to file swap else I'd get incompatible resource error or something? Unless they also changed their base game settings?
All the .biq settings are saved in the .sav game file. Multiplayer uses the settings from whoever is hosting the game.
As i said, do not overwrite the conquests.biq in the Civ3\Conquests folder. It is read only anyway. Any changes made to it will cause scores to not get recorded in the Hall of Fame. And if you didn't back it up, you will have to reinstall C3C to get it back. Always save it as a scenario and start it from the civ content menu.
Instead of worrying about specific numbers, just learn what affects corruption and have a basic understanding of how it works. You don't need a calculator to play the game.
Learn to play the epic game before making changes to it. Right now, you just don't like jungle... play on temperate maps for less of it or restart till you aren't in the middle of it. When you have a better understanding of how and why the game works the way it does, then you can make intelligent modifications.
