Quick Promotion ?

I am having trouble finding a specifically promotion focused tutorial/guide. Can I add unit promotions just like units by inserting xml and art ? Also can a promotion be available/unavailable for one specific unit as opposed to unit class ? I apologize if there is already a comprehensive promotion tutorial hiding somewhere and would be very grateful for a redirect / link.

I don't think there is a tutorial. You can just add new promotions in XML, but the possible types of effects are limited to what promotions can already do. I am not sure what you mean by unit class, promotions are currently primarily associated with unit combat types. The easiest way to make sure only a specific unit has access to promotion A, create an extra promotion B that no unit can acquire but that your unit starts with, and then make promotion B a requirement of promotion A.

It's also worth noting that the promotions file is one of the few xml files where order matters. Promotion B in Leoreth's example would need to be in the file above promo A, or the prerequisites get all messed up.
