R.E.D. modpack

Okay, I use Just Ethnic Diversity, I wasn't aware of it's acronym. But I still have the issue when Just Ethnic Diversity is disabled, which is disabled currently on my Sweden game. I haven't been able to get a screenshot of my bombers yet.

Gedemon, is it necessary to change the loose files entry in config.ini to get the viseffects file to work? (In which case, that should be made clear to R.E.D. users). Bergerperson, I'm not sure how being on Mac changes things in that regard.

Maybe, still unsure about that. Change in plane speed could be the reason too for the propellers.

@Bergerperson: are the arrows of ranged units correctly aligned with the bows ?

You're going to have to explain further. The propellers look fine in a straight path, but turning and "avoiding" missiles from the city causes the propellers to become independent.

Do you use Faster aircraft speed ?

That I wouldn't know. I haven't used a range, archer unit for a long time.

EDIT: Also, I don't really notice if the arrows are aligned with archer units that other civilizations have.
 
Ok, for people with reproducible crash, I'd like you to use this small test mod I've attached to the first post with R.E.D, and when it crashes, please post your lua.log here (before launching a new game, and using spoiler tags to keep the thread readable)

That link is dead to me. It says something like invalid attachment.

I've seen the following so far.
I tried loading IGE and delete all city states (through IGE) and it worked.
This makes me think the bug must be related to something related to CS's only.
It may as well be a bug related to language difference as I have the Italian version, though I think it's unlikely because the game uses fallback XMLs when it doesn't find the one it needs.

I lost that save I believe tho. Should I try removing the _Minors folder and see how it goes?
 
I've corrected the link, please try with it, if it's one of the CS units causing the bug for you, it should help to find which one.

I doubt its because of the language, because I use the english version.
 
Question. When BNW releases (couple days), will v.26 be ready for it? Or should we wait for v.27? I'm actually delaying getting the expansion until R.E.D. is ready. xD
 
v.26 should be compatible, there is a new tag in the art defines, but it should not break anything.

v.27 is ready for release, I'll post it after a quick test with BNW if all goes well.
 
So how the test with BNW goes Gedemon? just got the expansion today but probably will restrain myself from playing until .27 is out :D
 
Some users have reported UI issues when using R.E.D. with BNW.

It's strange because this mod does not change anything related to the UI, but I'll have to check that...

I'd like more reports on the subject.
 
I will not be able to test R.E.D. with the current version of BNW until tomorrow, but if something is broken, I'd like to have reports ASAP, it could really be important to know it quickly.

I've got 3 reports on steam about broken User Interface (missing or messed textures/icons), but the mod does not change any of the UI files.

So anyone from the USA has tried it with BNW ?
 
Playing BNW with v.26 from Canada, haven't come across any UI issues yet. The only thing I noticed is that the new units and UU's haven't been resized, but I assume that's waiting for v.27. I'm gonna keep playing, and if there's an issue I'll report it, but so far nothing.

Edit: Although it is kinda funny watching a couple giant Pathfinders wiping out a swarm of barbarians... xD
 
caravans are not resized, that giant camel stepped on my man! haha... kidding, camels are always below~ can't wait for your update!

- Add Wolfdog's convertion of the coyote's and Bernie14's Tiger (helicopter gunship) for Austria, France, Germany, Netherlands, Rome (Italy), Spain, Sweden
- Add Wolfdog's convertion of the Rafale (jetfighter) for France
- Add Wolfdog's convertion of Snafusmith's Char Leclerc (modern armor) for France
- Add Wolfdog's convertion of Snafusmith's Marder IFV (mechanized infantry) for Germany
- Add JTitan's Pretos Forros (musketman) for Brazil
- Add JTitan's Portuguese warrior and spearman
- Fix a possible crash from v.26 with Portugal (Lisbon CS then) units

I don't have the UI corruption in my test game, and have absolutely no idea of what may cause it. Only suggestion I can think of is trying to reduce the leaderhead details level, update video drivers or try another version of DX at launch.

I'm wondering, did you try running a game with just YnAEMP (Giant Earth) and this? I think both worked individually for me and only broke combined. This is with an ATI 5770, latest drivers (I tried beta drivers before but it didn't help), DX 11, all high (except anti-aliasing which is turned down a bit). I'll try dipping down to DX 9, but it's odd that it hasn't caused problems until BNW.

EDIT: Tested with DX9, default DX9 settings (which is most settings low). Looks like no problems from the onset (and performance shot up, but that's because my card is probably mid-tier), but obviously everything looks a bit worse, so I'll have to see what makes it work. Maybe BNW updated the graphics too much for some cards and the mod overloads it or something? I'm not sure.
 
My last game was on that map, with R.E.D v.27 and a lots of other mods, no problem at all.

let's try to find differences:
I7 860, 8GB RAM, ATI 5970, very old drivers, DX.11, and see attachment for video options...
