Did this ever incorporate the mod that added soldiers to the mechanized infantryman unit?

Also, currently, what style do the infantry units have? Cold war era?

Lastly, is the steam version up to date?

EDIT: Also, it's odd that for many civs, the warrior model uses spears/swords, but the warrior for china is just the vanillia model. What other units don't have unique visuals yet? Would it be possible for you to just replace the swords/spears for those warrior models with clubs and use the original warrior animation?

Once I get nexus working, i;d be happy to do it.

Well, on that note, how difficult would it be to make a customized version of the mod for personal use? IE: how difficult is the code for assigning a unqiue mesh for a unit and such? Would you mind if I did so?

Lastly, is it my imagination, or do UU not use their vanillia unit models?

R.E.D. is compatible with the "mechanized infantry with soldier" mod.

Infantry units are WWII era.

Steam is up to date.

I'm waiting for warrior models for the Asian continent, we don't have enough units maker...

And of course you can customize the mod to your liking, the code is now pretty simple to change, just look at the sql files with the civilizations name, and remember to set VFS to true to all the new model's files, by editing the modinfo file.

And yes some UU models have been changed, and reused. For example, The Roman Legion use one of Danrell's model, with a regular square formation, and the default Legion model is used for Roman's swordsman (when a CS gift one) in a loose formation.
 
Hi Gedemon, some months ago i think i saw a historic scenario for your mod, is that in your main mod or as a separate item in the workshop?

R.E.D. Xtrem also updated to v.24, remember to install it after R.E.D Modpack to not mess with the formation file.

The usual change log (I hope I didn't forget some) :

- Update and add units from JTitan's Ethiopia pack (including new crossbowmen, knights, pikemen, spearmen, horsemen, ...)
- Add Snafusmith's P-40 to Egypt and Ottoman (Turkey)

- Add Snafusmith's Mig-29 for Russia (USSR), India, Persia (Iran), Babylon (Irak), Inca (Peru)

For the next update you should give China (in the absence of a Chinese fighter model), Mongolia, the Huns & possibly Songhai the MiG-29 too.

Seeing as the extinct Hunnic language has its closest relatives among the Turkic languages of Russia's Volga basin, and the Huns themselves hail from somewhere in that region or close by in the steppes; it would probably be correct to assign them Russian units from about the Renaissance era onwards (by this time this whole region was unquestionably under Russian domination), or if not then definitely for the Industrial era and later.
 
Also, to add on to falmming_pythons suggestions. Could we maybe give America some of England's pre-modern units? I was also thinking of using the Jerusalem pikemen and longswords from Bernie's Crusader pack as well.(Since they match America's color scheme rather well)

I post here because I've a problem with the RED modpack.

When I train some units (japanese archers, for example) I can't see the unit in the map and the zone of the map around this unit because they are a kind of bug. That looks like a giant brown background.

How I can solve this problem? With other nations the mod runs without problems.

Some users have problem with a few archers, I don't know what cause it (doesn't seems to be an ATI/Nvidia, drivers or version of DirectX problem from the reports), and it works fine on my computer.

Anyway there is a hotfix on steam that replace those archers with another (ethnically close) model.

First Mod i have used on Civ V G&K, love it. Even seems to help with my poorly old graphics card ( maybe just the placebo effect )

Hello, I am still having problems with some units, crossbowmen especially. Lately India and France crossbowmen are invisible units (I fixed this by changing them to Japanese and German ones). However can you please chceck? Thanks.

Update: An Aztec knight appeared as an empty unit today. Again I solved it by using a different model (Inca one in this case). However I would really welcome an offical fix. Thanks.
 
Hi, is there an easy way to get the Panzer IV Tiger back as Germany's UU. I tried replacing them with R.E.D WWII Tigers by simply copying them in and changing the names of the files. Didn't work.

King Tigers were ineffective monstrosities, really.

However now that I have seen the R.E.D. Tiger I am a little greedy. If there is a way to integrate that it would be much appreciated!
 
Would it be possible to add a new branch of modern bombers, so you could have conventional bombers like the B1 or B52 to go with the conventional fighters like the F15, and then have a fifth generation fighter tree to go with the stealth bomber? Could have the F22 for America, the PAK FA for Russia and China, and the F35 for the other nations that don't have a fifth gen fighter yet.
 
I've come across a weird little bug. Or at least, I assume its a bug.

First off, I'd like to point out that I'm using the following two mods:
CiV Unofficial Patch
Gods and Kings Enhanced

Both on most current versions from Communitas (Not the Beta version though). And I have v.25 of R.E.D. as well. The issue in question is that the ship models seem to be overlapping. Land units are all okay, same with air units, it seems to only be affecting the sea units.

Without CiVUP and G&K Enhanced, the mod seems to work well enough, so it must be something between your mod and the Communitas ones. If there's an easy fix, I'd love to know. ^^ If not, hopefully this can be fixed in the next update.

Love this mod though, its made me want to play every empire, to see what all the units look like.

Edit: Also, when they go into the ocean, they appear to be half underwater. Looks rather odd.

Edit 2: Fixed the weird stacking issue, but the underwater one remains. Its only in the ocean as well, on the coast everything looks normal.
 
Hello, I seem to have a problem. I have launched Civ5 today the same way as many times before only to find out the RED is missing in my MODs. Enabling it in Workshop does nothing. Can someone please help me? What may be wrong? Thanks.
 
@Dasta: I'm not aware of a problem between R.E.D and CiVUP/GEM. Did they add new unit's models in latest versions ?

@Chapon: contact steam so they fix the problem or use the direct download from civfanatics, if the troubleshooting on steam hadn't helped.
 
Not that I can tell, no. The issue with the stacking was with Mechanized Infantry With Soldiers mod. I had started with it, then disabled it. The weird stacking stuck around until I cleared my cache and ModUserData folders.

The ships being underwater has persisted though. Like I said, I gave it a try without CiVUP and GEM and it worked like a charm. I'm fairly new to modding so I'm kinda useless, but I can link a screenshot of the sinking ships for you.

And you don't have the problem with CivUP / GEM alone ?
 
For some reason, of the combinations of mods I tested, I didn't check just CiVUP/GEM. Now I feel like a fool. xD Alright, I'll go pop into their bug tracking forum and see if I can get some help over there. :P

Thanks for throwing some logic into my slow mind.
 
Is there an update to the mod planned? Or are you waiting for Brave New World to be released before the next update?
