I just had an iteresting thought aboiut the Illyrian UU- well, the Illyrians were famed for thier pirates, and sea born raiders- one of the major reasons Rome had to rather stern in diplomacy towards them, and eventually led to the conquest of its coat, and the making of a client state out of Illria, until it was just fully annexed..

well, what if, using the peltast graphics, the Illyian UU was a sort of sea born raider- a replacement for the archer, with the marine capability- mabey even hidden nationality, so that while the player would know its the illtrians, they would have to deal with the trouble of not being able to officially get the Illyrians in trouble for it...

another idea, would be a hidden nationality ship, with an extra point of speed to represent the speedy illyrian pirate ships

I like the pirate ship idea. Perhaps I could keep the Greek hoplite where it is and use one of Aaglo's ships for the Illyrians, and like Xen suggested, making it unknown nationality and speedier.

well, you can go ask aaglo, because before I knew if you would liek the pirate ship idea, I asked for a Roman ship- and I dont want to seem greedy

I'm well on the way to completing Sojourner Truth. That'll mean that there'll be four completed leaderheads already, and Malcolm II won't be far behind.

This weekend, I'm going to start shaping up the mod itself, deciding what wonders/improvements to match to which trait and culture.

There's a couple of updated previews in the Sojourner Truth post.

The current status -
Completed - Sojourner Truth, Kekkonen, Justinian and Queen Tueta.
Current project - Malcolm II - may be finished by tomorrow.
This week's leaderheads - Dinga Cisse and Yacoub Al Monsour.

Oooo...! Can't wait for you to release the heads, man. So Helen now has offically become Queen Tueta? Hmmm. Thats what I'll probably use her for, then. And Theodora will become Queen Zenobia of Palmyra. This, of course, is all in my next project.

I've now completed Malcolm II - so that makes 5 finished leaderheads. I'm thinking of doing a couple more then uploading, making the incomplete leaderheads part of an add-on to the mod.

On Dinga... you might want to dress him up as a 'General' in the modern era. Many leaders of African countries got there by way of a coup or some other such 'military' war and Portray themselves as such.

I've been asked to do Hector of Troy. I'll think about it , but I don't see any reason why not.

I see Aaglo's finished the bireme. It looks excellent and will be the UU for the Illyrians.

Guys, let's not barrage him for requests. Especially not stupid ones like four fictional greek leaderheads for a scenario you'll most likely give up on within a month or two after seeing the movie. Besides, hasn't R8XFT done enough for us already?? For shame...
