So I've recently got the SVN version of Realism Invictus, and even using the 3.25 version I've always wondered that were the effects of the different settings such as in RI_Planet_Generator, what does climate variation entail? I've tried doing tests on my own using the world builder but I've ended up clueless. I more so interested in RI_Planet_generator and Perfect Mongoose as the rest of the map scripts are mostly the same from vanilla.

Can't really give you a detailed rundown, since we didn't make those - they are third-party scripts modified to work with RI - but in general, there is a bunch of parameters that are used in a very complicated way during map creation (and don't have any direct in-game effects), like rainfall for example, that are likely adjusted by these options. In case of vanilla scripts it changes the percentage distribution of various terrain types, and in those scripts it basically does the same, only in a more complicated (and interesting) way.
