Well, you are attempting to put something into your eye after all. I can't imagine it would be pleasant at all.

The eye itself doesn't feel anything so it mostly about overcoming your natural aversion to touching your eye. After a bit if initial fiddling about you'll be popping in those lenses like a pro.
