random suggestions (map importing, joint diplomacy, etc.)

just a couple of random suggestions

1. a way in the editor to import map, ex. taking storm over europe and using your own world map.

2. maybe breaking of diplomatic ties for x turns (wouldnt probable be a civic instead of a diplomatic option and would increase chance of war)

3. several "layers" (for lack of a better word) ex. ground troops would be lvl1, every level can attack them, primitive planes and copters would be lvl2, immune to lvl1 but not 3 and up, and so on until maybe the stratosphere. also maybe a similiar concept for subs.

4. also joint diplomatic relations would be great. maybe you contact a civ but they agree only to joint diplomacy. also great for peace treaties beacuse of a neutral party.

5. and i know its been said before but the ability to lend troops to a nation without starting war.

all of these ive seen mentioned before but ohwell

are the ideas that bad or just been said before?

ive never seen the whole layers thing but now that i think about it it would only make sense an land if planes werent immobile, at least make cruise missiles immune to ground troops tho
 
Most of these have been said alot which would explain the lack of intrest in posting, the only one I have yet to see is the layers thing although it isnt entirely accurate. A ground unit could shoot at choppers easily, every heard of a little movie called Black Hwak Down, Subs also could be shot at with Depth Charges, and and high attidue bombers can be shot at with Rocket Launcher not RPGs but Rocket Launchers. So the idea of makeing planes immune to ground units is not that good. But a nice thought.
 
im talking mostly about spearmen killing my cruise missiles

oh and i also meant there would be exceptions such as a galley not being able to attack a sub but a sub would attack a galley

It's all been said before. You have to remember that this forum started quite a while ago.
 
Infantry unable to kill planes? Are you crazy? ground troops were major threats for ww1 planes! OK, not spearmen (or Crazy Eskimo's (was it him?) knights killing plane) killing air units (do we play the same civ3?).
