A lot of things happened in the period 650-700 AD--not only did we get Sipahis and enter our GA, but even before Sips we finally conquered all the uncorrupt territory available to us--and that was definitely the turning point.

It would be interesting to know how much harder the early part of the game would have been if the Iroquois had had horses for Mounted Warriors.
