Ok I see what your saying but I still feel that if the city is gone then I shouldn't have as much of an impact as if it were still there as your no longer providing civic/social support to that city.
But not a full part of your empire and once its razed it isn't part of your empire as it no longer exists.
Maybe the solution to this is that if you raze a city you still have some impact on you SP rate but only half (or what ever) of what it would be before you razed it.
Actually your post razed another issue (unrelated). With the new Meritocracy value being 0.5

3 cities gives 1.5

If you raze a city that was built by you, it's no longer a part of your empire, if you raze a city you annexed 1000 turns in it's no longer a part of your empire. How is that even a valid argument for annexing a puppet and razing it. A puppet WAS a part of your empire.
